Headliner Installation

Has anybody else experience issues with their headliners?

This thing has been an absolute nightmare
When I initially took delivery I realized they didn’t install the headliner, although I had ordered it.

The dealership was awful, refusing to correct their error and told me I had to buy it myself blah blah blah..
Ford stepped in months later and ordered the headliner for the dealership to install

The dealership installed it two weeks ago, and when I arrived to pick it up, I immediately noticed a gap in between the headliner and the edge where looks like the headliner should meet

In my opinion it looks awful, like it wasn't done right

A service manager came out and said it was their first time ever installing a headliner and basically too bad, deal with it they weren’t going to fix it

I followed up with Ford/ sent them photos
They advised if I don’t like it, to fix it on my own because they spoke with the dealership who told them “they did their best”

I’m curious if anyone whose headliner was installed at the factory, has a gap like mine does?

Maybe I’m just overreacting, but I think it looks stupid lol

Man am I glad I set my expectations low!🤣

I still drive a 67 Bronco so my 21 is Lincoln-esque when compared.
21 Badlands, 2 dr, four banger, slushbox, SAS. PERFECT!

Not looking to argue the point really, but if you set your expectations "high", what should have been different about the headliner design?

The Bronco when first released was a $30K base price ORV truck (Base trim) with a lightweight removable roof. I think the headliner matches the price point and function of the vehicle.
No salt tram towers were harmed in the making of this post...

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Bronco concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

I have zero issues with my headliner. When I say I set my expectations low, I mean I literally keep my head down, and my Eyes on the road and trail. I expect to get it out, anywhere 🤣

When Broncos first rolled off the line people complained about fuzz falling off of the liner. I recommended vacuuming their tops. I just don’t stress over little things. Until this thread started I never really gave it a thought. Maybe because I have driven in old cars and trucks, (I am old) when fit and finish was terrible, that I look at most new vehicles as so much better. Anyone else ever drive in an old Jeep, Bronco, Scout, LandCruiser or anything else? They were pretty much tin cans. And I loved them. And I know we are paying 40-50-60K plus for these vehicles and that we expect more. That being said has anyone looked at what those old tin cans are going for? It is all relative, everything is expensive. In regards to the headliner it looks like, from the original picture posted, that it is installed the same as mine and that is how they look. Not sure what happened or why it wasn’t installed, but at least they did make it right. I am curious if the OP could post some more pictures. I would like to see if theirs has the felt pad underneath or any areas that were missed.
