2024 Big Bend, purchased new in 25. At 945 miles, during a bath & drying off. I noticed cracks in the passenger side roof panel. Not ssure if pic uplouploaded. Took to purchasing dealer, 9/4/25, to get claim started. Dealer did not submit warranty claim for 8 days. Contacted numerous times about the claim. Dealer finally submitted claim on 9/12/25. Ford took 17 days to approve the claim on 9/29/25, dealer claims. Dealer now telling me that panel is on backorder w/ no ship date available. Now have 2200 miles on Gizmo & crack is expanding. Has anyone else had cracking issues?

This is a known issue. Currently described in General Service Bulletin 25-7086 (which supersedes several others) My MY 22 2 Dr had the Rear Clam Shell replaced (they moved the windows to new top) at 28K mile. Now 18 months later (and 58K) the replacement top has more cracks than the original. My vehicle is at a Ford dealership for Recall work and they have denied my latest claim. So I now have a vehicle that is less that 3 years old with a bad top. Oh, they said they will replace it for $4404, what a joke. Waiting to hear back from FORD customer experience specialist......

My 2022 has the cracks. Near the rear window and on the very top of the top. I didn’t notice the cracks till about 45k miles so no warranty and the extended warranty doesn’t cover the top. So I live with it. I am probably just going to wrap it or cover it in flex seal. I have read people that are on their third and forth replacement top. The Mic tops are just not that good.
BN 1100, Desert Sand Everglades. Reservation 7/30/20. ordered 1/22/21, reordered 10/15/21 dropped tow and hard top, reordered 3/9/22 changed to Everglades. production date 9/7/22 rescheduled 9/14/22 completed 9/26/22, shipped 10/7/22, arrived 10/31/22, delivered 11/03/22

Are these all 4dr? Or do 2dr's also have issues?

The top on my 2dr is all scratched up from off-roading so it's had to tell if I have cracks or if they are just scratches..

My last Jeep JK had massive hard top issues with cracks and leaks.. Jeep refused warranty because it was also scratched up and they claimed off roading caused the damage..

I ended up getting it repaired (they filled the cracks - a few were pretty bad) and line-X sprayed by a bedliner company.. Was only like $500 if I remember correctly but that was several years ago..

The hardtop on it was never right from day 1 and it leaked like an Iraqi submarine from the top front driver side.

Here are a few photos of how it turned out on the Jeep..

unfortunately it is all of the MIC hard tops, 2-doors and 4-doors.
that line-x looks good. did they remove the glass?
it seems that there are two types of MIC tops ones that have cracks and ones that will get cracks. on the other site there are lots of folks with this issue and several have had many replacement tops.
mine are very small and I can only see them if the light is just perfect. I only noticed because I was putting my top back on at the golden hour and the sun hit it just right.
I doubt Ford will do a recall on the tops, way too much money and nobody is getting injured by them. Maybe Ford can just line-x the tops with cracks.

I don't think so but I don't know for sure.. I think they just taped the glass off.. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up later that day...

My 2024 doesnt have any cracks… but it is so noisy and the wind noise from the passenger side is unbearable. Dealer says the engineer from ford said it’s normal. They put a new piece on after they chipped the original. Paint now doesn’t match. It’s a Raptor so i have a 100k wind tunnel! Any solutions out there. Thank You

My 23 2 door has cracks on the side and reported it to the dealership. That’s been over a week now and I haven’t heard back yet. I haven’t looked at the top yet, so might have to do that. Ford really should be ashamed of themselves for letting this happen and not fixing these when they know its an issue. Give everybody the new ones and give a year warranty. That’s the right thing to do.

I just purchased my 3rd Bronco a few weeks ago (2024 Wildtrak), and after taking it home noticed that the middle panel is cracking, and the other 3 panels have honeycomb. Luckily, I work at a Ford dealership and was able to get a claim submitted asap. I am worried that Ford will deny the claim though. It's always scary because they can deny it for any silly reason they want, then you're stuck with a cracked/honeycomb top after paying $70k for a vehicle. I would love it if they would let me replace the top with a color match, but I highly doubt they can do race red.... I'd even accept a black one at this point only because the mic gray has nothing but problems.

Yeah my top has fitment issues. the center section (the removable section over the rear seats) has about a 1/8" gap between the panel and the sports bar rear passenger. I found it one day when I had the front two panels off and in the garage with my bright lights on and I could see light standing outside the vehicle between the roof and sports bar. then I took my LED work light and put it in the vehicle and checked for other areas and the connection between the middle section and the rear section from the passenger side to about 1/4 of the way to the middle has a gap that goes from 1/8" and gradually disappears as you move to the center of the vehicle. tried stuffing some foam in there it helps but not perfect. and every time I take the top off I lose the foam, so I gave up. the good thing is it does not leak so I can live with it.

of course! my vin# is 1FMEE2BP2RLBXXXXX with 727 miles (I bought it with 300 miles, it must have been a service loaner) - thank you so much for offering to help me!! I didn't see the photos our tech submitted, but hopefully he was able to show all of the issues as far as the cracks and honeycomb... I have never put anything on this top because I saw the cracks and honeycomb as I was washing it after I bought it. It was filthy from sitting on one of our sister lots for a year before I bought it. I couldn't resist that $13k in rebates, and the upgrade from my badlands.

My '23 also makes a ton of wind noise on the passenger side. Almost sounds like the back window is open a half inch or so.

I have a 2025 that was purchased new in April. I now have 8700 miles and I've began to notice small cracks about a thousand miles ago which are continuing to get worse. My thinking was to wait closer to my warranty expiration and bring it in for a warranty claim but I think I'll need to take it in sooner. I have never taken the top off, never had any roof racks or accessories on it, and the only off-roading I've done are a couple of gravel roads. It's sad to think about the money these things cost to have such poor quality tops.
