Soooo.......check those dipsticks boys and girls. Its been reported and Its been the case for me, that my dipstick is too long (keep the jokes clean folks.....its a family show). :p

Anyway........the topics been brought up in another forum and I've followed it and have discovered for myself that the OEM dipstick that came with my FE is the incorrect length. Apparently there are some new superseded part numbers so don't take my word for it, do your own looking around. For me, I purchased the new updated part number MB3Z67508B but now as of Feb 22 model year its been superseded once again to MB3Z6750F......... THIS ONLY EFFECTS THE 2.7L Engine!

Ford superseded MB3Z6750B to MB3Z6750F

The old (the one that came with my FE) has an "H" marked at the top of the yellow portion of the dipstick. The new updated dipstick has a "Triangle Symbol" at the top.

Below are my photos. For reference, my FE only has about 2200miles and I haven't touched my oil. With the old dipstick the oil shows the level ABOVE the curve in the dipstick. The new (UPDATED) dipstick shows the oil at about 3/4 full.

According the manual, the level should be something like this......
894BCFF7-410A-4A9F-A21D-7E1FDD66A14E.jpeg

Here is the before and after measurements I took yesterday after replacing the dipsticks.

The new dipstick below......

Again.....this is my situation, do your own looking around, check with your Ford Buddies or a listening ear with the Ford Parts guy.

From one dipstick to another.......go check them sticks!!;)(y)

I just bought a new 2022 Bronco. It now has roughly 40 miles on it. I will be interested to see what the oil level is filled to, and what dipstick I have. I will update with what I find.

What I find hilarious is Ford reads this Forum and comments when they feel like it but ….FORD will not tell us what is right. Way to go Ford.

I just got an oil change at the dealership and again......the fill was 7qts........and its beyond the dot on my original dipstick. I dunno what to think about this dipstick dilemma.:ROFLMAO: Its completely ridiculous in so many ways but I've read both my dipsticks and the newer one gives a 90-100% full reading on the hash marks where the original is over and above the twist/bend at the end of the dipstick. I dunno......

Soooo.......anyone have any good Mac N cheese lately?! I miss Homeroom in Oakland, WAAAAAAY overpriced Mac N Cheese......yet soooo good! :giggle:(y)

Just checked. My 4/18/22 Blend date bronco has the ‘H’ dip stick that is too long. I guess I’m supposed to buy a new one myself? Why isn’t Ford paying for these?
I agree, shouldn't it be a recall?

From my understanding based off Ford's info release, only the catalog was wrong.

The funny thing is.....whether you believe this (dipstick-gate), or not...... This topic is A LOT scarier on that "other" Bronco forums! They're throwing tables and baby Yoda's at each other!!

Just checked and I have the H stick too. For those that have the new updated stick, and the H stick, can you put them side by side as to what the 7 qt level is on the H and post a pic here? I can etch a line on my H dipstick and go with that since Ford cant produce a stick.

******CAUTION, CRITICAL THINKING CAP REQUIRED******

Before viewing below imagine and jumping on me for propagating a conspiracy theory.......understand, I spend my own $20 on the supposed "NEW (what the forums are calling new)" updated Ford Dipstick to see what all the nonsense was about. This is what I found........

The "NEW" FORD OEM dipstick is shorter.....
The "NEW" dipstick has a Diamond Caution logo at the top, not an H as the one that came with my FE.
The "NEW" dipstick reads 90% full on the cross hatchings and well below the hole that is considered the MAX line compared to the one that came with my FE..

My ORIGINAL dipstick has/had (at the time of this photo) oil reading above the curve.......I had not serviced, changed, added or removed oil from driving my Bronco off the lot.

I've since taken readings from my Bronco sitting overnight. I've taken readings after driving it a short distance as well as after longer trips and nothings much has changed. The Original dipstick indicates oil well above the curve. I dunno what to tell you?!

I've since kept both dipsticks, have been using the "NEW" diamond logo dipstick simply because its easier and more accurate to read. The ORIGINAL, with its reading above the curve, tells me nothing other than it has a bunch of oil in the engine. What else can I write???

The new (UPDATED) dipstick shows the oil at about 3/4 full.
Keep in mind, the top mark is “Max” not “Full”. The engine is completely safe to run anywhere between the min and max marks (and in reality, a little ways outside of these marks).

Manual I downloaded months ago said 7 qts. When Bronco first came out said 7 to keep oiling in all situations.Dealer + sales people say 6.Going to stick with 7 quarts at change intervals + hope not too much crankcase pressure resulting in gasket, seal leaks.Ford get "Your poop in a group"."Quality is Job # 1 should be replaced with- " A Nod is as good as a wink to a Blind Horse" Courtesy The Faces circa early 70's.Realize only a $60,000 + machine but this old guy thinks that is a healthy chunk of change.
My WT is built + being shipped.Having Acid Flashbacks about what it is going to look like! Johnny Cash + "1 Piece at a time" keeps going through my addled brain.Still looking for a good YUGO!!!

Because they already have your money so you don’t interest them.

I have an “H” dipstick. With 7 qts the full line is now the “fomoco” etching. It would be an issue if it was too short.

FT4Z6750C is the correct part number for the dipstick on the 2.7.
MB3Z6750F is for the Raptor 3.0. so......not sure if there is a problem.
