Broken front differential, backorder

Howdy bronco people!

By an unfortunate and silly turn of events (it got stuck in my boyfriend’s front yard after a lot of rain), the front differential in my 2021 bronco black diamond needs to be completely replaced, it just sheared off. The dealership is telling me it’s backordered at ford with no eta as “they make what’s on their assembly line first, then make extras.”

It’s been at the dealer for 2 weeks or so, really throws a wrench in my plan to be on the road for a couple months during a sabbatical.

Has anyone dealt with backordered repair parts for their bronco and how long did it take to get what you needed?

Anyone break their front differential yet and how? 😅

Unfortunately a lot of things are on back order (I work at a dealer). They tell us there is a back order and one shows up a few days later sometimes it takes months. Also depends on how far you are for shipping. It can take a few days. I live near some of the plants and warehouses so it doesn't take to long for us to get parts. But depending on how they have to ship it.
