My ’24 Big Bend Sasquatch with the MIC hardtop has developed an incredibly annoying rattle. It sounds like I have a case of water bottles rolling around in the back every time I hit a bump or drive on an uneven road.

I initially took it to Ford, where they diagnosed the issue as the rear seal where it meets the swing gate. They lubricated the seal and assured me the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, the noise was still very noticeable on the drive home.

I took it back to the dealership, and now I’m being told this is a common noise and essentially something I need to live with. I’ve spoken with several other Bronco owners, and none of them experience anything similar.

At this point, the noise is driving me crazy, and I’m frustrated that Ford doesn’t seem interested in finding an actual solution. I’m wondering if it could be related to the weight of the spare tire, the swing gate, or possibly a seal issue.

Has anyone else experienced this with their Bronco? If so, were you able to track down the cause and, more importantly, get it fixed? I’m open to any suggestions because I’m running out of options.

I haven't run into this. You may want to check for a loose spare tire and make sure your jack is secured properly.

I already removed the jack in hopes that was the noise, no luck. The spare is secure as well but wondering with the 35s that I’m hearing it shake during bumps.
