Window Button Replacement

Sorry if this has been posted, but has anyone experienced window buttons that are peeling at the bottom (up) of the button?

Both front door are peeling off at the "top" (bottom) for the front doors.

Really don't want to deal with warranty if this is a fairly cheap and easy replacement. Just need to know the part #. If it involves removing the entire console then I'll just talk to Ford. Maybe I push the buttons too hard?

I rarely get to use the window buttons. My wife thinks that is the perfect place to store things, anything from napkins to her phone, sunglasses case, to tissue boxes. Always blocking the switch. And by the time I remember the switch is not on the door and I reach for the switches only to be blocked by something… what ever it was that I needed to roll the window down is now gone. 😂

Mine are peeling as well. If you're still under 3/36 warranty, it should be covered.

They are relatively easy to change out too if you want to DIY it

Wife using finger nails on the tips of the switches, they are soft rubber.

Mine did the same thing just last week. I would say they are used like normal... Have had the Bronco 2 years, but am over the 36k miles so will either look at a DIY or just deal with it as is. 💁

It's the rubber compound, it can react to lotions, creams, hand oils, etc. Some people's natural oils are more potent/corrosive than others. We see it on various vehicles steering wheels, seat covers, and some trim from time to time.
