RCI skid plate photos or recommendations.

Hi all, I’m looking to see if anyone has the RCI skid plates for their Bronco, I’m looking for better protection than the OEM plate as we were recently 4wheelin in the sand dunes and took a hard hit to the bash plate which flexed up into my intercooler, it didn’t puncture it and we made it home, but I’m not really pleased with how the OEM plate held up. Was looking for better pictures of the RCI plate on a Bronco than what I could find on Google. Bronco is back on the road currently with PPE intercooler! :)

Yeah, no, that's awesome. I only have uninstalled RCI crossmember skids for the 2.7l, and I'm pretty sure I'll like how they perform once I get them on. Hope some people get some pics up in this thread for you.

we did similar with a 4WP front skid at Little Sahara State park in Oklahoma. We now use use the ASFIR 4X4 aluminum instead of the RCI and they have worked out for us. they are thick, light and have taken some solid hits.

Awesome, yea I saw those, I have a tab saved for a few different ones. Who would have thought bash plate would bash my cooler core ha.

Yep we cracked the welded area on the 4WP one and our intercooler wasn't damaged much so I guess it did its job. I will say the ASFIR 4x4 had no problems bolting right up to factory mounting points. Also we use all the skids they offer except the rear diff because we already had an IAG one that is steel. In fact now I am looking at their rock sliders to replace the Ford ones after I damaged a rocker panel.
