I've been studying the new K03 tires. I ran a couple of AI questions against the K02 & K03. The bottom line from that is the K03 has less road noise, especially after they had a few miles on them. They compare equal for snow, mud, and off road issues/toughness. The one thing it mentioned was there have been balance issues with the K03, especially at high speeds. Was wondering if anyone has experienced this and what they are and what had to be done to correct? Did BF cover them under warranty, etc.?

Thanks,
Dave

yeah, it is possible they may have load range D in a few months. But the Load range F I don’t really notice any difference in feel when driving compared to the GY it had. Now that they are aired down. The GY we ran at 39 psi the BFGs we run at 36 at 40 psi as discount had them they were really stiff.
They are a tad bit wider than the GY I can hear one tire rub on the rubber caps tether for my Anderson connector I mounted on the drivers side crash bar mount, at full lock. But I just adjusted the connector a bit and it clears just fine.

Update: approximately 150 miles off pavement at 20 psi, then 500 miles home (took the long way!). Agree with Jakob above, better ride at a bit less pressure. Makes sense that the heavier load rating would be stiffer. I give the KO3s a πŸ‘ .

Just FYI: I was notified by Summit Racing Today that the LT315/70-17 Load Range D are now in stock (3 Months late for me). So it looks like they are now available.

Good Luck!

Keep in mind, they are testing on the road. If you want a road vehicle, go get a car. I want to know how my off-road tires do in the rocks, dirt, and snow.

This is one of the reasons why I run two sets of tires. Currently, I use the OEM KO2s that came with the Badlands for off-road trips, and a second set of "street" A/T tires for daily driving. The other primary reason is that at about 55% of the price, the "street" A/T tires cost less and wear better. I don't need the off-road performance the KO2s provide driving to Costco 😁 (though I have done "light" off-roading with the "street" A/T tires, and they've been fine for that role.)

What kind of "street" A/T tires are you rolling with? Getting close to replacing the stock GY's on my wife's daily driver Squatch & the only off-roading her truck does is on the beach. I'm looking for a good A/T that's quiet, last long & not so aggressive.

I got the Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse A/T tires, mounted black side out, but my Bronco is a Badlands non-Sas, and those don't come in Sasquatch size.

The problem you are going to run into is that there aren't a ton of Load Range C tires in Sasquatch size--basically, the Goodyears it came with, KO2s, and maybe the Falken Wildpeaks. There might be some obscure others I don't know about. I wouldn't recommend higher load range tires (especially "E" or higher) for street use because it will make the ride bumpier with no benefit. You could consider stepping down in tire size, but that is probably counter to the reason why you got the Sasquatch in the first place. The Goodyears are also quite a bit cheaper than the KO2s, which would be overkill for your wife's use case.

I found this a few months ago. I went with the KO2s again (bigger size) bc only Load Range F was available in KO3 for the size I wanted when I had to make the change. I am counting on the Load Range D being available when I am ready next time. Plus there will be more information available from those who have been running them.

I think the Load Range D, LT315/70R17/D 121S tire is now available but cannot confirm.

Thanks for the list. They have the load C for my tire. Good to know.

I recently attended the Raptor Rally in Lake Havasu. I spoke with a BFG rep about the KO3's that are on my 2024 Ranger Raptor. I asked about purchasing replacement KO3's. I had heard that the KO3's that come on my Ranger are not the same as the ones that you can buy at any tire shop. He confirmed that. The KO3's that come from Ford are specially designed to provide a good ride for our vehicles. If I need a new set of KO3's, I should purchase them directly through a Ford dealer. I asked about getting a larger (35") KO3. He suggested that I purchase the KO2 that comes on the F-150.

Yeah, both BFG's D & F load ranges are now available in LT315, 70 - 17. Should mention their specs are the same except the D's weight is 66lbs vs F's 69.2lbs so almost 13lbs difference in unsprung weight.

Cheers
