I'm in window hell

Gotta vent here. I'm so sick and tired of resetting my windows (one in particular) every few days! When they write the software, can't it just stay written? Who goes in there to change it? Little jeep gremlins? Why does it keep requiring a reset to use the auto-close and "open-a-little-to-open-the-door-and-close-it" features?
Ford? what say you? And why are they designed to rattle thru every pothole (yes, they're adjusted all the way)? Is there some cool upgrade to solve my window hell?

Has the window reset been part of your experience since getting your Bronco, or has it become necessary more often over time?

I had the rattle on my first Bronco, but the one I have now doesn't have that "feature." There is that SSM for it that was released last year, which you may have already looked at?

Thank you, Laura. That SSM was simple, a couple of tighteners (?) under the door. It was done at the dealer but now I know it can be done at home.
Yes, the window indexing problem gets gradually worse. Is there a way to reset and start over?
I wonder what it would cost to buy new 2026 MY doors?? Just a thought.

There's that adjustment, yes, but just verifying we are on the same page -- this one is actually for the seals, it's a quick job, about 35 minutes to replace at home (longer at dealer) but I've heard it fixes about 90% of the rattle. It was about $900 for the seals when it came out but the price has dropped dramatically for those not under factory warranty. ESP doesn't cover it.

For the resetting part -- I was reading about the indexing issues, and I was curious about the timing of yours because low battery can cause it, and those of us with the earlier years are getting closer to end of life for our batteries. Failing window motors and dirt in the seals can cause the reset to need to be done more as well. So not too helpful, since that's a few reasons with no certainty to back them up, and I'm sure there's still more reasons.
