Three Months Anniversary

Congratulations on your Badlands! Some good places in those 7k miles!

I just passed 5 months and 3800 miles on my '23 OBX and I'm still loving it. I was getting ~22 MPG early on, but now averaging closer to 26 on my daily commute. I've added some simple mods (badging, puddle lights, interior trim, roof cross bars) as well as a dashcam. I'm considering the Rough Country nudge bar (waiting to see what bonus looks like this year), and I'd like to swap to some nice AT tires. I'm on the fence about a lift kit.

Do the lift, you'll love it! My wife's OBX lifted with Rough Country 1.5" lift. She say's it makes the off roading seem a bit more tame.

I just passed 11 miles. Just bought and drove it home..... Tomorrow awaits.

We have had our 23 Big Bend 3 months now.10.5K miles,18 states, 9 national parks and 2 weeks ago had dove it from NE OH to the TX Bronco Off-Rodeo. Jessica Moore was our trail guide there that day. Learned a few things and had a good time.

If your are going to learn, learn from the best! I believe Jessica was leaving to get ready for the Rebelle a day or to after I did the Bronco Off-Rodeo. We wished her good luck I guess It worked, but I am sure it took more skill than luck to win. Yes we like road trips. We like visiting National Parks as we have been to all 63 U.S. National parks. "Sunny" is My wife's baby, she loves it.

Three months, four days....... I'v learned most everything and had a surprise or two with accessories. Even put an app on my phone to remote start 15 to 30 minutes.. I'm happy wih it, plus 30+ mpg always.. Today 31.9..... hmmmmmmm!

Just a peeve about the Big Bend, and so far the only one is the sun visors. They don't go close enough to the windshield and you find yourself squating your head to see forward.... About a half inch of viser prevents this flush position needed to hug the windshield that would of given you 2-3 inches more verticle forward view without head gymnastics.

1 year update. "Sunny" has 20K on the odometer now after our latest road trip even though we parked him for the winter. He has currently taken us to 24 states, 17 national parks, 14 national monuments and a bunch of other places from sea level to 14,115'. Unfortunately he is at the dealer now to fix an engine oil and coolant leak. My wife loves him but is really disappointed in Ford ( as am I. I own an auto repair shop ) that a new vehicle in this day and age has to be repaired due to engine fluid leaks.

1 year update. "Sunny" has 20K on the odometer now after our latest road trip even though we parked him for the winter. He has currently taken us to 24 states, 17 national parks, 14 national monuments and a bunch of other places from sea level to 14,115'. Unfortunately he is at the dealer now to fix an engine oil and coolant leak. My wife loves him but is really disappointed in Ford ( as am I. I own an auto repair shop ) that a new vehicle in this day and age has to be repaired due to engine fluid leaks.

He ran great this trip no problems but had him into the dealer to fix another fluid leak right before we left. Had to take him back twice again as the tech didn't get the transmission fill cap on correctly the first time and had another leak. Averaged 30.4 MPG for the total trip. It was at 31.6 MPG avg. until heading home we drove across I 94 in MT and ND @ 85 MPH, 100+ deg. and very windy conditions. Getting close to needing some new tires now. Last payment was today!

Thank You! First car payment my wife ever had, Sunny is hers. I made my last car payment in Oct. of 1980 so it was new territory for us. Ford Credit had a super low rate at the time we bought Sunny so we put 1/2 down and financed the rest for 36 months. Yes a lot of great memories in those miles with my wife and grandson so far and hopefully many more to come.
