Has anyone had the whale noise come back after having the brakes redone from the recall? After backing out of my garage this morning the noise came back. I haven’t had an issue with it since I had them fixed.

Sorry to hear that it's back, @Sammi14011. You're the first I've seen report it came back after.

I’m sad it came back but not a huge deal for me. I also haven’t heard of anyone else’s coming back so maybe it’s just my luck.

My dealer installed the TSB 22-2326 twice last year to and both times the screech-moan started up again the following day each time. Dealer then said they do not have a fix as must come from factory. I opened up a case file back in July and they said I would hear from them within a couple days. Been three months now and not a peep. Spend $40K plus for a vehicle and they cant fix the problem!

Yes, the dealer repair seemed to help for a while but it comes back. Seems to be most noticeable when cold or wet when you initially back up. It's annoying. Best of luck to you in finding a better fix. Nice to see that at least someone on this thread found a fix that completely worked.

This is so disheartening to hear. I've been dealing with this for over a year & just found out about the TSB.
I just got off of the phone with my local dealership and was shocked at their attitude. Like others here have mentioned, the guy in service tried to tell me "it's normal". He also couldn't find any TSB for my BS until I gave it to him.
He scheduled me for service next Thursday and then added "but there is always a level of brake noise that will remain".
Seriously, who trains these people??? Why not just say "let's get you in and see if we can get this squared away"? Especially because they should be expecting this issue to show up at their service center repeatedly.
Anyway, I plan on recording the noise every day until my appointment because I can already see where this is going. The old "we don't hear anything" routine. I suggest others do the same unless they have your car over night & can hear it in the morning.
This REALLY sucks. I'll update next week 😕

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Bronco concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Has there been an update on this? I have a 2022 that has been sitting in my garage for over a month now because I am afraid to drive it. My dealership told me they would call me when the parts are in, but still haven't gotten that call!! I am paying for something I can't drive! I don't trust these brakes! It makes this loud noise when I back up, but it also sounds like the brake pads are gone when I apply the brakes at all, forward and backwards! It is less than 2 years old and only has 8,000 miles on it. I can't believe I have a $40k vehicle just sitting collecting dust! Sorry but I'm frustrated after reading these posts and other things I've seen on line.

I had the recall work done as well and the dreaded noise is back for me too. I have a 2022 Badlands. It was such a nightmare "convincing" service to do the work in the first place that I have put off taking it in again and trying to get it resolved. It's loud, embarrassing, and beyond frustrating that my new car has this issue. I have about 2k miles on mine. Makes me never want a Ford again. And I despise having service people act like there's no issue. That brakes will "always" make a little noise. So insulting.

I had my dealer order me a new set of the updated brakes and have had 0 problems with them. The work was done January 5th and seem to be doing a lot better. The snow and cold lately have been awful in my area and I still have yet to hear a noise backing up.

Just a comment. My bronco bought Oct 7 23 has been feeling like I'm having to push further to engage the brakes The start of the brakes coming on feel/application. Lower in heigth for the pedal feeling while everything else remains the same...ie. seat position, distance and tilt on the wheel... 'normal' mode. It just feels like less since I got it four months ago and I guess I need to shuffle through recalls.

EDIT: This seems to have been more driver error than mechanical failure or adjustments. My brakes appear to be fine now. And perhaps my prior comment was not entirely accurate.

I had a similar issue that was remedied by the dealership I purchased my BS from. I purchased a new BS Badlands in September 23 and within a month or 750 miles my front brakes started to make a rubbing noise when brakes were applied. To me it sounded like the brake disks had warped as it was a distinct noise as one section of the disk would contact the brake caliper as it passed through. It took the dealership a couple of months to get the new disks in and replace the originals. I racked up another 1500 miles while waiting for parts. Good news is it seemed to have fixed the issue. I'm now at 5000+ miles and now noise.

Got mine back yesterday, they just had to confirm what they already said. Said it is safe to drive, but not so sure when you're talking brakes! They had to order the parts and will "fix" it once the parts come in. So it will sit until they call me. YetiSeeker & Plotus, I would contact your dealership right away so they can get the correct parts now. Strange those are both 23's. Mine is 2022 Badlands.
