2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend brake noise when in reverse

I have a 2022 Bronco Sport - Big Bend edition. Whenever it is cold or wet the brakes are very loud when you are first backing up. I have even pumped them a few times while reversing with the hope it will stop. It's embarrassing that I have a new car and it sounds like the brakes are going out. I have complained about this to the dealership since I purchased my bronco and every time that I have brought it in for service. They continue to say that there isn’t anything wrong and/or I can pay a diagnostics fee to have it inspected further. I am beyond frustrated. Has anyone been able to get this resolved?

From what I've read and heard, its that Ford put the brakes on too tight. I also had an issue where my front breaks were putting a ton of dust on my front rims; to the point they were basically a different color than my back rims.

I'll say that I just replaced the brakes on my bronco sport and no longer am I having noise issues or dust issues.

So maybe Ford put them on too tight, or maybe they just used cheap breaks. Either way, once you replace them the issue will cease.

I have a 21 with 21k miles and have had my brakes fixed twice. Second time I was contacted on here by Ford’s social media team and they helped me go through the steps to get a new set of the “updated” brakes. Best advice is to call ford directly and have them call your preferred dealer and get new brakes while walking you through the process and necessary steps. I had mine changed Jan 5th (I live in Michigan). Haven’t had a problem since I got them changed luckily!

So you actually got the issue corrected with "updated" brakes and not the TSB 23-2308 that everyone seems to be referring to?

Yes. I have had them done since January 4th and have yet to have the noise come back. I’m in Michigan where the weather is all over the place and not a sound has came from the brakes backing up. My car also sits outside 24-7 it is never in a garage or anything enclosed.

That's awesome. To this point no one has suggested anything about the brakes, always the TSB, over and over, I feel like I'm on a wild goose chase now. Hopefully Ford’s social media team can point me in the right direction also.
