I bought my bronco 3 weeks ago give or take… finally got out of the dealership 30 minutes after they closed. As soon as I pulled out of the dealership the thing went into limp mode, check engine and service 4x4 messages popping up. Couldn’t get back to the dealership because everyone had left. Luckily it came out of limp mode and I was able to get home. Next day I had to call off work and take it back to the dealership. They replaced an accelerator pedal, with 23 miles on it? Anyway, 1100 miles later same thing is happening. Limp mode , wrench light is on .. service 4x4 messages. I had big plans for this thing.. but at this point I’m scared to sink any money in it, cause it just might get traded

Contact Ford directly about your issue. I see you are in Illinois so you are basically 2 repairs in for the same problem. Illinois law state you need 4 repairs for the same problem for the lemon law to take effect. If it was me I would be looking for a swap out to a new Bronco.
2. The Illinois Lemon Law (New Vehicle Buyer Protection Act)
You can force a manufacturer to replace the vehicle or issue a full refund (minus a reasonable use allowance) if your new car has a major defect that the dealer cannot fix:
  • Time/Mileage Limits: The problem must be reported within 1 year or 12,000 miles of delivery (and legal action must start within 18 months).
  • Qualification Criteria: The defect must substantially impair the vehicle's use, safety, or value, and meet one of these thresholds:
    • The same defect has been subject to 4 or more repair attempts without being fixed.
    • The car has been out of service for repair for a total of 30 or more business days

Wow that's too bad. Not exactly the ownership experience you were hoping for. I'd be livid. I wish you luck going forward. Stand your ground and take nothing less than a free and complete repair. It that doesn't happen, insist on a full refund or replacement.

In times like these, it would definitely pay to have @Ford Motor Company get involved to help grease the wheels, if nothing else, they can intercede on your behalf with the dealership. They've helped others.
Chris here. I drive "Lebowski," a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands Sasquatch. Lux package. 2.7L V6. Automatic transmission.

dry weird to have a problem like that, especially so soon. I bet that the fix the dealer did wasn’t what needed to be done, and something else they did happened to have temporarily fixed it. For er, after replacing the accelerator, maybe they had to reset the PCM or force recalibration or something. So don’t feel like “everything is falling apart on my new Bronco!” just yet. 🙂 Hopefully, things smooth out from here. 🤞🏻
