What if....A lincoln version of the Bronco?

Had this thought a while ago about Ford doing a lincoln version of the bronco since many luxury brands already have long running or newer namplates in the offroad segment. This was pre corsair sadly going away so now lincoln will have 3 vehicles. Imo stupid move but that is me.

Doug demuro also did a video on this thought as well. I ended up speaking to a dealer a while back and they are starting on their own lincoln bronco build!

Biondi lincoln is working with classic soft trim,a sema winner to do a custom interior and will be modding many parts on a bronco raptor as a starting point to make it more in line with the lincoln feel. new grill and rims, etc will be worked out. Thought it would be good to post here to follow along

Two recent good ai renders of a lincoln bronco were added in as well but alot will be different than those two photos.

So we'll see ads for a gussied-up Bronco driving "baja" across a flat playa, doing wheelies on a sand clearing in the desert, and climbing oh-so-ruggedly up a steep dirt road--maybe even surmounting a rock the size of a bowling ball! And very well-heeled heels will think, "I want to get out 'off the beaten track' too, and stay real comfy at the same time." They'll plunk down their six-figures-plus and buy the Lincoln Bronco and next thing you know, Matt's Off-Road Recovery is posting another video of some idiot who thought he could go anywhere cause he got this awesome off-road rig.

If Ford/Lincoln ever does this, I demand that buyers attend a ten-hour course on treading lightly before they take ownership.

Why? they'll never see anything other than the golf course and the mall parking lot.

If we could only be sure of that! Notice how (almost?) every car or truck ad has to have the vehicle "performing" out in the desert. This is going to over-popularize off roading and even BLM and National Forest roads with people who think that "AWD" means you can go anywhere. Also, the more impact, the more insensitive, uneducated, or just uncaring people will be out there.

Perhaps the solution is for there to be an "ultra-lux" Bronco trim line with more plush seats, noise cancelation, convenience features, and so on. How about motorized side mirrors that fold in at the touch of a button? A motorized soft top? Memory motorized seats? Trim a Raptor that way. They probably have all the tech and goodies, just load the truck up, price it at $100K+, and Ford can make money, attract that niche of well-heeled heels, and everybody's happy.

I had a Toyota Sienna AWD XLE-"Limited," their highest trim line. And yes, it did have motorized mirrors (which would be handy on tight trails and garage ports). I described it this way: "If Toyota put the Lexus marque on a minivan, this would be it."

300,000 units annually is not enough? It was a stupid move set in motion by Hackett and completed by Farley, not because they were losing money ,but not making as much as they gouge you on a 150.Now they make NOTHING. real smart
but only 50,000 mach e are enough? Broncos are not selling 300k annually. Buyers for sedans did not move from sedans to SUVS they went to the Japanese and Koreans.AND they won't come back to Ford.

Well the focus and fiesta had a dct nightmare issue, and the fusion and mkz were actually decent but ford could not produce a good enough product to move vehicles. The taurus imo sucked and ford was too lazy to remove it from a useless aged volvo platform.

That mach e is keeping the V8 mustang alive and outselling the ice ones at times.

Offroading is already too popular. Was a niche for enthusiasts, now there are people out there that don't belong.
The offroading schools only encourage more nitwits to clog trails. Its like the Bulgarian meat wagon driving school, half the people that take it smash up their cars or get tickets.
The battle with the blm and military over access is a losing proposition.

Slob campers and people who do not respect the land are both massive, and I mean massive, pet peeves of mine.. These irresponsible people, and those who defend them, are the reason that trails are getting restricted or flat out shut down..

There was a thread a while back that I asked to be closed because it was being trolled..

The gist: Some clown went off trail, had no clue what he was doing and tore down a monument trying to self recover himself.. You can see the tread here: (the monument destruction part begins on post #9)

https://thebronconation.com/general-bronco-discussion-n.139/slob-campers-and-off-roaders-t.20715/

The story was responded to even worse over on the other forum. We only had one person here trolling it but that other forum had numerous people calling the monument trash, junk, defending the person who destroyed it etc..

Pure and utter disgusting behavior from so called 'off-roaders' and 'outdoor enthusiasts'...

Sure they will. I'd bet good money one will need to drive up the stairs to their mansion, and drop off a ball for their dog they had to go find in their 10 acre front yard. 😁

I bought my son a used Lincoln MKC last fall. By the new year a dear had totaled it. It was a really great little car.

But I hear a Lincoln Bronco, all I can think of is a Lincoln Versailles
Man that’s not a Lincoln it’s a Grenada with a bump on the trunk.

I agree with what @BostonBadlands previously said.. A Lincoln Bronco Abomination would be coming to a Matts Recovery video soon after it's release.. 😂
