Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Had 4 new tires and wheels installed.. Bought 5 each; I'll retrieve the spare tomorrow.

Tires are 'the same' as my original Goodrich All Terrain A/Ts but this year's KO3 version and for a 20" wheel.. Wheels I found at Element Wheels...
https://www.elementwheels.com/weld-w11809098500
...in 20x9".. I HATE gray/black-painted wheels and found my favorite machined aluminum outsides with black inner barrel.. Original tires & wheels have only 4000 miles on them and look new; let me know if you're interested in them.. I'm in Phoenix.

Will be investigating Baer Brakes' 14"-rotor kit; Baer is in Phoenix and the engineer believes they can get a 15" rotor under my wheels.

Great tire and wheel combination. The silver wheels were a natural choice, considering the color of your Raptor. Looks sharp!

Looks good! I have the Baer eradispeed brake setup branded and installed by Shelby on my Mustang. They are very responsive. Stopped sharply from VERY high speed on the Salt Flats and at El Mirage without any hesitation nor shuttering and kept everything straight. I have used both Baer and Hawk performance pads with great results.

I cleaned my engine and engine bay. I should’ve taken “before” pix. It’s a remarkable improvement. I’ve got some wiring to do and I got sick of getting filthy every time I popped the hood to tinker around.

At first, I was anxious about using a power washer and scrub brush, but after taking practical precautions I was able to remove most of the dust, dirt, and years of accumulated crud. It hasn’t been this clean since I bought it.

Hey Chris, simple green in a spray bottle with a soft bristle brush works great. A nice rinse and a blow dry with an air hose, and good as new!

Changed engineoil and filter.. Took all 7 quarts of Red Line 5W30 and I used my 2nd and last Fram superduper filter.. Had purchased the Raptor at 3200 miles and changed what was probably the original fill at about 3300 miles, that time filling with Kirkland 5W-30 Full Syn.

"Let there be (more) light." As in ditch lighting courtesy of HERETIC STUDIO, via Bronco Nation. 😍

IMG_0812.jpeg

I installed Heretic Studio's clear flood ditch lighting. I tossed the external switch and used my upfitter switches. I also bypassed the supplied relay and inline fusible link. I discarded a lot of unnecessary wiring and just ran the negative wires to a common ground. I combined the two positive wires, then connected them to a single upfitter wire to power the ditch lights.

The rep I spoke with at Heretic said I could do this because the lights only draw 4 amps and the bare minimum amperage of the upfitter switches is 10 amps, more than double the energy requirements. Ergo, AUX switch 5 now illuminates my ditch lights. Are they worth it? Uh, yeah. They're bright AF. 😎

I still have to button up a couple of things, but most of my OCD inspired work is complete. The wires were connected via heat shrink connectors AND heat shrink tubing was used to completely seal the connections. Overkill? Yup. You gotta problem with that? LOL

Wow.. I watched the YouTube video and that thing is brilliant! I dig (pun intended) the fact that it connects to a hitch. I tow a camper so when on the way to a basecamp, I'd toss it in the Bronco then once unhitched from the camper, I'd attach it to the Broncos rear hitch for use not only when at camp but also when out on trails.

This could prove to be very handy tool.. The only issues I see is 1) since it does so much, I'd probably forget how to configure it for each tools use and 2) it bottoming out at certain angles when off-road.

Added to my shopping list and will give it some serious consideration. Thanks for posting the link.

Happy to be of service! 😎

I learn new ways to do things every day, and seeing what others are doing with their Broncos inspires me. It also raises my confidence to perform mods that they’ve done successfully. That said, I know when some things are beyond my abilities. I either lack sufficient experience or lack specific tools to perform the task at hand. That’s when I seek professionals in a given field, such as suspension upgrades. Still, there’s nothing like taking pride in doing some things on your own.

Getting down to crunch time before leaving on our first trip on the 9th. Took Nag to the dealership to knock out most of the upgrades. Wanted to get as much done while we wait for the last part to come in. Fingers crossed for the shipping Gods to come through!

I almost got that a couple summers ago but realized I already had other gear that would fulfill all the uses I would get from that. It still is a cool set-up.
