Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

All done installing the Turn Offroad Hard top.

Full review soon. Install was easy.

Chris,
Have you had any issues with the seals on your top? The seals that meet the body behind the rear doors, keep pushing out. I have removed the top, reset the seals twice now and even after new adhesive, they pop out. The seals on the front panel where it meets the too, rips loose every time I remove the panel…. Turning into a non-fan quickly…. I know its simple stuff but paying this many pennies for something, I expect better quality…

🐎

EDIT*****

I reached out to Cole at TOR and he said that he has never seen or heard of this happening. They are sending me new seals and conditioner. He mentioned that maybe the top wasn’t tight enough and it was shifting when driving and the heat was possibly a contributing factor with the possible looseness of the retaining bolts. Hopefully this will resolve the issue. Truly do like the top just frustrated and venting.

Nope, no problem with my seals. I had an issue with rattles, but that was fixed when i adjusted the rear window. Everything has been great after that.

Hey Kris can you take pictures of the mounting points on the front fenders

I'm not Kris, but I'm assuming you are looking for this...it uses the factory bolts & holes. The whole setup requires no permanent modifications.

Not today, but yesterday I installed the roof rack. With a little help...🐈

My old cat was equally helpful assembling furniture. 😎

I installed my TACKFORM Device Rail, along with attachment arms and hardware to help keep my electronics within reach. Shout out to Nick and Erica Lullo and Andrew Gilleran @Tackform for helping me get everything I need (and more). 😉

I LOVE this company. Their merchandise is top-notch. I installed a magnetic phone mount on the driver's side, an expandable phone grip for the passenger, a Go-Pro mount centered on the dash, and a 2-way radio mic holder. Everything works beautifully and there's room for expansion if needed. Solid construction and impeccable finish.

I just purchased a bunch of Trackform stuff also. Just setting mine up but hopefully I'll have pictures soon.
I went for a tablet holder on the right side. It seems like it'll be really stable especially with the rubber rests that they include.

I think you’ll be happy with their products. I used one of the rubber feet under the driver’s side arm because the angle was low so the phone wouldn’t obstruct my view. Once arranged and locked in place, these things don’t budge. Very sturdy.

Added 37” Nitto Recon Grapplers. Went with Recon because everyone has Ridge Grapplers and I don’t like to be like everyone else.

Side note on those DV8 shock skids.. The rear shock bolt needs to be torqued to 350 foot pounds... Good luck! I got them as tight as my weakling arms could, then went to a shop to get them torqued... They only charged me $10 to torque them down and he said I was probably only at about 200 foot pounds.. LOL

I am old and weak so maybe that had something to do with it but 350 ft #'s is a lot!

Had to go with Metal Cloak, DV8, and Stinky Fab because not one of them made all the skids the way I wanted them, so I mixed and matched. I have a big honking 3/4" drive breaker bar that I was going to hit those bolts with. that oughta do it. wrenching on Diesels and tractors finally pays off.

I had every intention of installing my skid plates, but only got the front cross member ones done. Six 9/16” bolts and they were on. I tried but failed to install my DV8 Front Trailing Arms, Rear Shock, and Differential plates. I hired a shop to do it and they did a fantastic job. Total Off-Road & More took good care of me. They’re a chain store specializing in all things off-road, and the price and service were extraordinary.

I have a full complement of Trackform stuff. Let's see, from left to right, there's my phone holder. I got the new one that charges wirelessly. This one has a little fan in it to try and keep the phone from overheating. So far it's worked well. Then my GoPro mount, followed by my mount to hold my Zoleo Satellite Communicator, and last, but not least, my mic holder.

I've had the rail for almost 2 years, and slowly added more and more to it over time. it has served me well, and I've had no issues at all. 5 stars, recommended. 😎

How cool! Speaking of cool, the wireless charger built into the Bronco is anything but. LOL My phone is noticeably warm after charging. I like the fanned Tackform wireless charger. I saw one at the Overland Expo. I went with the simple magnetic one, though. The A/C vent is right behind the phone, so no problem staying cool (at least during the summer)! And the little rubber foot that supports the arm includes a wire loom that directs the cable back towards the dash-mounted USB power points.
