Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Try the link now? It seems that the site was translating the amazon link as a Media link.

Got it! I'll see what I can figure out.

I'm getting an error for the sunshade pic -- but we did just get the Turn hard top on one of the BN Broncos; I'd be happy to try to get some measurements or pictures. I could take my panel out and add it to the BN Bronco, or we could see what Cole at Turn has?

I'll reach out to Cole at Turn Offroad.

I want to see how much I can get off the floor/in the compartments up onto the ceiling! I just need mounting implements now

DV8 has some mounting hardware you may find useful. I’m not sure if all of the square openings are sized universally. Is there a spec? An industry standard? Inquiring minds want to know. πŸ€“
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Thank you! I'll look into those!
I also have some leftover Quick Fist Clamps from my Cherokee I let go; I may try to use those too because I feel like they may not rattle a ton being rubber.

Added my Chonco badges over the weekend too πŸ˜‚

I gave them a light sand, taped 'em off and painted them. Rust-Oleum Ultra Matte in Slate is a good match for MIC/Carb Gray.

My DV8 frame mounted rock sliders came today but I won't slap them on until either later this week or next week as I need my son to help me since they are heavy and it prob takes 2 people..

I also received my DV8 a-arm skids today and got them installed. These should have been a simple install but turned into a massive mess! The shop that had previously installed my lift put the bolts upside down.

This is probably what your Bronco a-arm bolts look like: Notice that the bolts are coming in from the top, down through the a-arm and that the nuts on the underside?

Screenshot 2025-07-07 at 18.11.16.png

Well, mine were reversed with the flat bolt head on the bottom and the nuts up in the a-arm...... I don't think in the big scheme of things it matters, as long as they are secured..

This posed quite the problem for me... Getting a wrench or a socket down onto the nut inside the arm was problematic.. After about an hour I finally had all 4 (both sides out). This should have taken 5 minutes.

Next up, I figure now that I have them out, I'll try to put them back to as they were stock.. NOPE! The bolts are too long so you cannot get a straight enough angle to drop them down through the hole.. Another 30-45 down the drain trying to get them in.. If only I could lift it, remove the tire and the bottom shock bracket then I could get them down through. Nope!

The a-arm instruction say to install them with full weight of the Bronco on the ground so the shock does not move when remove the bolts.. This limited what I was able to do. IF the treaded portion of the bolt was down, like it is stock, then installing the skid would have been easy peasy. No such luck for this kid!

I now needed to hold the skid up where the a-arm holes are, guess where to insert the bolt so it would line up and go up through the a-arm holes. Once I accomplished that, I then had to try and hold it in place while I maneuvered the nut onto the bolt that's now inside the a-arm and the skid.. YIKES.. Another hour or so down the drain..

Let me tell you, for an old dude like me these things are heavy and awkward to try and hold in place with one arm, while trying to insert bolts and buts into the a-arm hole and the skid.. And to make matters worse, there are 2 bolts that need to be done like this on each side..

So what should have been a 1 hour job, at most, turned into 4+ hours....

Well they are in.. Don't mind the spider in the 1st photo, it was 90+ degrees out and the little creature probably just wanted some shade..

I didn't feel like waiting on my son so I went out today and removed the Rough County Rock Sliders and installed the DV8 FS-15 frame mounted sliders..

Come to find out, when removing the RC sliders, that they are frame mounted as well.. LOL.. I guess I must have forgotten how I installed them back when I 1st purchased the Bronco.. I am a doofus!

No big deal as the RC's are a step option whereas the DV8's angle up. The DV8's also feel more secure and sturdy and that they'd be able to handle a rock bash better.

The DV8 install was not bad and total time was about 5 hours with me taking breaks because of the heat..

I used 5 gallon buckets to hold the sliders in place, then used bottle jacks to lift the sliders into place.. Bolt em down and done!

I also slapped on pinch seam covers..

I dig the look and now have a nice set of rock sliders so I can rock bash away.. LOL

Here are a few cruddy photos. I am too tired right now to take better ones. Maybe later..

So a little over a week ago after returning from our Northern AZ travels I discovered that both of my rear shocks were leaking. With no fix in site for the rear shock recall and up against a hard deadline of two road trips upcoming in August, push came to shove and Nag is the only winner.

Let freedom ring! As familiar as I am with the Stroppe Broncos this is still giving me some serious AMC vibes.

Installed the Wolfbox G900 Pro dash/rear camera. WORST product I've ever installed on a vehicle. What a waste of time and energy. First the positives the camera works great and looks great. Interface is nice. However this product is ultimately unsafe. The rearview mirror that replaces the factory unit is useless as a mirror and at night there is zero visibility even on well lit roads. If you use your mirrors like your supposed to good luck.

Bummer that you have an issue. Not sure why yours has bad visibility at night. Lots of people have the G900 Pro and I don't think I've seen any complaints about that.

Maybe you got a defective one? The mirror will stay dim showing time and other info. Say 'Turn Off Screen' and it completely turns the mirrors dim light and clock off to where it acts as a normal mirror. Have you tried that?

I feel terrible since I recommended it to you..
