What did you do to your Bronco today?

Got Dirty and then got clean.

Canceled order for back ordered hella lights and went with BajaDesigns Squadron Pro. Also got my OnX elite discount which saved quite a few $$$

I'm waiting on pins & needles for the freight shipper to call me to let me know they are on their way with my new Turn Offroad Hard Top. Yesterday they gave me the shipping window of "all day." Ordered on April 24th. Super fast turnaround for such a big ticket item.

I looked at those…. Wasn’t a fan of the “front “ only being removable. Let me k ow what u think. I had a line of 2 factory tops but both were scams…. Both were used and very reasonable… that should have been my sign!

The only people who sit in the back seats hate the top being open. And half my family wear hearing aids, which makes any wind noise uncomfortable for them. Ford's factory hard top ordering process was less than ideal. Turn Offroad currently has free shipping, a free foam headliner, and I can install this myself instead of having to pay a dealer.

Yep…. Having same thoughts from back seaters… just wanted smaller pieces if i remove total top plus i do parades with grandkids so having that second section removed gives them a place to stand with back seats flipped.

I hate FedEx so much. They called on Wednesday to schedule the delivery of my hard top on Thursday. My delivery window was "all day." They never called and they never showed. Calling their service number to schedule a new delivery is a total joke. They transferred me twice, and then on the third transfer I was hung up on. I think my package is sitting on some shipping subcontractor's lot and that subcontractor isn't picking up the phone.

With freight shipments slowing down due to tariff wars, you would think these businesses would value the work.

EDIT: FedEx called me and scheduled the delivery for Monday. Sigh.

Chris, I thought you had an OEM hard top on your steed, but maybe CRS is acting up in me…

If so, why the switch? Problems with the original?

No, I have an OEM soft top. I doubt anyone has put more effort into making a soft top quieter than I have. In fact, I’ve actually managed to get it quieter than the OEM hard top.

That said, it's been a constant source of issues. I had to replace the rear window under warranty, and I’ve spent a lot of time chasing down various rattles.

While I was in Moab this year, one of the side windows split when I opened the soft top in 28-degree weather. Now, the corner on the other side won’t stay in place, and there’s yet another new rattle. After inspecting it, I found that a clip had broken when the window split.

It just never ends.

Then while there were there I had them do ... tie rod sleeves

Began the installation of the OEM trailer hitch wiring. Here's the module that gets installed behind the driver's side trim panel in the cargo area.

Digging into my Bronco just makes me love it all the more. It's cool seeing what's behind trim panels. It makes me appreciate those who designed, and those who assembled my Bronco, piece-by-piece.



When you remove the panel, you unhook the plug on the left (hanging down) that goes to the KV antenna. "It is the Keyless Entry antenna. It's specifically designed to pick up signals from the vehicle's key fob for features like remote locking/unlocking, remote start, and key detection." The other three plugs were attached to a temporary harness terminal. It acted as a holder for the harness connectors that get attached to the module for the rear trailer hitch, whether your Bronco came with a trailer hitch or not.

They're good so far. Should be delivered by 5:00 pm today, and then my buddy Neal is coming over to help me install it. My Bronco is still dirty from Moab, so after the hard top is installed I'm going to give it a proper bath - and test the new hard top for water leaks.
