Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Mind if I ask what brand of cargo shelf you got, and if you recommend it (aside from the security enclosure interference)? I was looking at a couple of these options earlier this year, and liked the type that hinges up at the front edge, but not sure what brand it was...

it's a JCR cargo shelf. I like it. Build well and solid. If you are talking about a shelf that has an option to flip up that is mountains 2 metal, but you won't find that ability on a 2 door from any manufacturer

Well, it took a week and a half of owning the Bronco, but bought my first upgrades tonight. 😁

RCI has a sale on some of their products that is ending this weekend, so went ahead and ordered the aluminum full skid package, rear shock sliders and the rock sliders with top plates (20 degree). Can't wait till they arrive!

If you are thinking of getting RCI, check the site, if it is on sale, it may not be after this weekend, save a few bucks.

I have the RCI front skid in aluminum and they are nice. I left mine in raw metal cause I like how it stands out on the front end.

I got the black powder coated front plate, to not stand out, lol. If it was more obvious, like on a Raptor (truck), I may have gone bare metal to stand out, I do like that look, but for me, it is not obvious enough (again, compared to the Raptor).

I did "cheap out" and get the others bare metal, since nobody can see them, why pay extra for powder coating.

Laser would be good and look great. But at least with the vinyl, if I didn’t like it, off it goes!

Well, call me an addict, I ordered a couple more skids from RCI. 😈

By the time I'm done, the entire bottom will be solid aluminum! Went ahead and got the rear diff and front A arm skids. I also ordered the crossmember skids on my first order, forgot about those! Wife was happy to get them all, MOAB may put them to the test this summer, and Bridgeport OHV can.

Finally installed the console safe thing a friend gave to me after he got it, never installed it (or even opened the box), and traded in his Bronco. Install was super easy. 4 nuts and 4 bolts to hook it all up.

The door pocket and handle pocket thing was easy too, and so much more storage space! Fits 2 bottles of water, plus still more room. My iPhone 14 fits nicely in the door handle now, sideways (I have a minimal case, very thin just to help with grip). My wife's iPhone with the Otterbox case has to fit standing up.

It's pretty stout. Although I only use this mount for my Torque Pro setup on an old sim free S7.

I went to D.C. and it ends up the one day I picked to drive 4.5hr was the day when every state from CT to D.C. was hit with basically a freaking monsoon. Stupid weather app said showers in the AM yesterday. Ended up being crazy high winds and rain. Bronco did great in this storm and not only did I survive driving through the storm, but I survived driving through NJ where apparently everyone that fails the drivers test lives.

Now that I am done crying about my last post….added on the ARB Manifold Kit to my compressor. After much thought I found a spot between the compressor and the passenger side, and just behind the air box. This has taken care of the air chuck connector rubbing against the hood liner. And it will help dissipate the hot air that superheats the brass fittings. Just an FYI, one of the mounting screws goes into the bracket that supports the air compressor. It was very difficult to drill through, but it worked out perfectly.

My good friend @Deano Bronc told me the secret to cleaning the engine bay. Spray down with Simple Green and hose off. Works like a charm!

I think I am missing the inside joke between you two ...

Give me time I will catch on. but yep, tried an true method if done regularly it makes it easy. just be careful about here you allocate large amounts of water and let it dry before starting. It appears you have been.

Yeah, I'm green with envy of TK1215's onboard air compressor. Our 24lb portable rolling 'round in the back is annoying.

Heck, I'm still cleaning with brush & Shop Vac. It's tedious but water's difficult when it's 20 degrees..

Cheers

No inside joke. I was complaining about how dirty Nag was and Dean told me how well the simple green worked. I sprayed It down with the simple green, let it sit a couple of minutes and the hosed it off. I then immediately used my home air compressor to give it a thorough blow dry. I realize these things are pretty water resistant but I never like to leave water sitting anywhere near electronics. Call me crazy🤣
