Haven't used it yet, but couldn't pass up the sale price of $300. I replaced the steel rope with synthetic, so I know it works with minimal load. Gotta try it on the trail next.

That’s cool. I’d like to hear what you think of it. I’d get one if for no other reason that I’ve got no one to off-road with, and would like some autonomy. It’s a sturdy looking unit, for sure.

I have had 2 of the 9500 Badlands on previous vehicles and never had an issue. And yes, they got used pulling myself/others out and even used to direct the fall of some trees i was cutting. Have not tried the Badlands Apex. JMO.

Made it work. Yesterday took it to do the Elephant Hill trail in Canyonlands National Park. Tough trail, but very scenic. If this was closer to Moab, it would be my favorite trail.

Looks like a fun adventure!

Got the 6 cylinder pulled out of the EB. Took less than an hour, easiest engine pull I've ever done.

Bought this as a future replacement for my Bronco 2.7.
This weekend the oil filter casing with its phallic rod (which is just is just clipped in at the bottom/top) and while struggling to pull the o-ring over the tip of the phallic part it unclipped and broke a piece at the base(top inside) of plastic. I got the plastic out but can tell you its a very dodgy part Super cheap. I got the phallic piece clipped back in and finished the oil change but next change the whole thing is going in the trash, and as long as the replacement looks good, I'm buying another for $20. This casing and the throw away plastic drain plug are the 2 parts of my Bronco I truly wish were made properly with real METAL, well maybe the pan, and trans pan too.

Tore down my crusty "new" transfer case for the 66, cleaned it spotless, and cleaned up a bunch of casting flash with a grinder and flap disc. The rebuild kit is due to be delivered tomorrow, but my twin stick shift rails won't be here until Monday.
