What did you do to your Bronco today?

Took my Green Diamond to get serviced for my first Check Engine light. I was pretty worried since, well we all know the stories of woe here. But it was only some stupid squirrel had decided to gnaw on a wiring harness for an emissions sensor.

Thats just nuts! 🤣 🐎

Not today, but bought a race red, 2door, Big Bend, with my “must haves” (v6, Sasquatch and tow) off the lot last Thursday. unclaimed order at msrp less $2800for giving up order or whatever…after nearly 2 years and getting build pushed to Oct. I lost much hope of ford actually building my Heritage order or seeing it before Xmas…maybe “settling“ but …bird in the hand…took it for a 600mile break-in ride into the mountains and have been busy ordering parts. All around not a bad move so far…

I changed the air filter and cabin filter. Wow, the air filter wasn't too bad, but the cabin filter was gross. I guess they changed the air filter when it came off dirt mountain last year but not the cabin filter.

Got door handle pockets x5 and door sills

Just finished swapping the plastic rear for the steel badlands one.

Today is a set of IAG pinch weld covers. Install instructions were a little vague but I think I figured it out. I did add a one inch wide strip of self adhesive rubber to act as a gasket and keep moisture from getting between the cover and the weld strip.

Looks great! I ordered my covers 3 days ago for my WT... hurry up Amazon....

I went with the Mabett mud flaps and installed them at home. Front flaps have tiny rub on tight turns but I definitely can live with that.

The stripe really pop’s against the paint. Looking good!

Put on some quake taillights this morning. Definitely an improvement on the stock ones. Only thing that I have to get used to is when I put my turn signal on it makes the clicking noise a lot faster than stock, but at least there is no way I will forget that my turn signal is on now.

I REMOVED my Bronco Gatorback Mudflaps and ADDED an OEM Ford Trailer Hitch for my bike rack.

Installed some fleabay special fog lights on the Barricade winch bumper... I've been reading up on how to add factory fogs to a bronco without them from the factory, so I may convert over to them at some point. I still haven't finished the wiring as I need to find a pass-through location for the wires. Don't want to drill...

I think you can plumb the wires through the firewall using an existing OEM wiring grommet. One of the aftermarket lighting companies mentioned it in their installation video, in fact. No need to drill!

For the firewall pass through I used the round black rubber plug on the driver's side of the engine bay that goes through. Is easy to pull out using the 2 vertical tabs in the middle. Once replacing the plug line the edge grooves up with the metal of the firewall to prevent air/water/debris from entering. OR you could use the larger round plug below it as per this Ford recommendation. On the large round area that has the main wiring bundle there is a smaller nipple above the main wire harness. I'm not sure if it pops out or has to be cut as that's not how I did mine.

Thanks! It was simple. I just removed the bumper so I could install the hitch. Just remove the license plate lamp and the rear sensor harness. Then remove two 13mm bolts and four 18mm bolts and off she goes. Easy peasy!

Might I ask why you removed the mud flaps? Were you not happy with them?
