Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Hey all… it’s been a bit since I’ve posted, but I have added a few things over the last few days…
First addition was the “Raptor style” grill lights. These were relatively inexpensive on Amazon and super easy to install. I wired mine to aux switch number 6 and it constantly stays in the on position so that they are on any the engine is running.
The next thing I added, was the Rough Country fender deletes. To be clear, this doesn’t delete the fender, just the fender flare. The kit comes with 5/16 button, head screws and flange nuts. I honestly didn’t want to deal with removing my inner fender liners, or notching them. If I wanted to take these off and reinstall the factory flares, so I went with a different option…. I used a Rough Country rivnut tool, and slightly enlarged factory holes, and inserted stainless steel inserts in the holes. I did have to use two of the supplied flange nuts that were welded to a thin piece of flat metal in the front area near the front bumper. That’s the only place that had a square hole. With this type of install, it will allow me to change from fender, flares, to none in a matter of a few minutes.
This took a little bit of time, especially getting up the nerve to take a drill and drill holes in a brand new vehicle!
The last addition was the K&N Airfilter…
There are numerous “benefits” for adding this particular style and brand. Most recently three of my close friends I have change the factory air filter only to find the paper chewed up by mice. I think they will have a very hard time doing up this air filter! Plus, this is cleanable, and has other benefits according to the manufacture. Feel free to message me with any questions about these modifications, and add-ons

Built Wild….. STAY Wild!

I did that with a KTM motorbike. I bought a new enduro and the engine failed while taking it home. It took awhile and a bunch of phone calls; however, I got another bike. I was ready to go to Austria (kinda..I was mad..where they are made) because I wasn't getting any answers. I went with my pick up and picked it up at another dealer in the crate and delivered it to my dealer to PDI/ready it for me. They told KTM I had fleet insurance since I was in trucking but I didn't on that vehicle. By the time I heard that I had already picked it up. Good timing. I haven't thought of that in awhile...

I do hope they find someone soon to pick it up. I would be real nice if you could.....you are almost there. It must be tough but that beautiful truck is waiting for you and it will be real sweet when you get it!!!

Oh no! Get better soon! I hope to have hip replaced in next 6 weeks or so. How bad is it not being able to get in it? I am having anxiety over that part of it!

Yep...It's not a big deal. My dealer is small volume in a small town. They are the best dealer I've ever worked with in my 70 years. The carrier probably looks at it, realizes they need to make a few more stops, cost them more money, so it sits. The new banana republic we have allowed ourselves to be put in.

It's Memorial Day weekend. We all have better things to do with our time then worry about the delivery of a truck. We need to remember all of the brave souls that died to give all of us the freedoms we have. May God bless and keep them, and their families.

I put on the rough country front bumper. I couldn't stand that plastic one anymore and while I was at put on the RCI skid plates and got rid of those plastic ones.

well I took off the GoRhino side steps already and put on the DV8 one's. I originally wanted the DV8, but the GoRhino were cheaper and then once I got the GoRhino one's DV8 has a sale on the steps I want and I was able to use a 10% coupon so they cost $500. Plus the DV8 one's cover up the pinch weld so I don't have to spend more money to cover it while the GoRhino one's did not. The DV8 one's also look soooooo much better

After 4600 miles and 2 outings at AOAA I replaced both the engine air filter and the cabin air filter with K&N filters. I was surprised how bad the cabin filter was.
Pic is from my AOAA adventure yesterday with Tri-State Broncos.

Hope for a speedy and full recovery for you! To be honest, I feel great and wish I did this years ago...but I am not pushing it at all, and its hard because I feel so good, its easy to overlook the restrictions.
Just keep that in mind as you recover...you feel good, and forget that your on the mend.

I hear you on that! Thanks for the reminder and the well wishes. Need a thread for those if us that have to not get in our Broncos because of some type of surgery. Lol.
