Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

File under: things probably only I will ever notice: installed pinch seam weld covers!
Such a nice clean look, I love it! I can't say enough how much I enjoy working on a vehicle you don't need a jack to get under with ease. I heart squatch.

That's the next thing on my list to do and cover up the pinch seams. It stares at me when I walk up to my bronco

Hi Nation, I did the .50 cal antenna (Ronin) last week and the auto stop eliminator. Today I did the AIG EZ soft top assist, which for those of you who don't know, raises the back soft top at the tailgate for easy loading. It also makes taking the roof off easier. I have a couple more small mods to do and I will post pictures then. The 2.3 engine tune will be coming soon as well.IMG_jpeg 13.jpg

Just a few odds and ends today...

I exchanged my factory black tow hooks for some red ones. They are high-performance tow hooks. They'll get me out of a ditch twice as fast as the black ones can and there's a rumor that there's a net 5-horsepower gain. And the muffler sounds better somehow, too.

IMG_0706.jpegIMG_0707.jpegIMG_0708.jpeg

Next, I swapped out my stainless steel door sill plates with black platinum door sill plates. These magnetically extract dirt and grime from your shoes upon entry.

IMG_0704.jpeg

Finally, I installed rear window defroster element protectors. They're sorta practical since they keep the somewhat fragile elements from getting broken by or hung up on whatever I'm hauling at the time. Cheap peace of mind, for sure... 😜

Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

I finally installed my Bimini shade cover, it was just a cheap one off of Amazon, but it works great, had to install a bit different but there weren't very clear instructions anyways. I can't imagine how different the $200 ones would be. It was hot and sunny after I installed this and I left the top open the seats weren't burning and when driving it did reduce the wind that blows through. I'm a bit paranoid about scratching the paint so I stuffed a shop paper towel so need a nicer solution for that, but it works for now. IMG-3549.JPGIMG-3548.JPG

The weather was nice this weekend, decided to go topless. Added a couple of Buckeye Easter Eggs for when the top is removed.

I popped these on today. From Amazon can't remember the name. I know AIG has them. I liked the sill plates posted earlier; however, I had these and once I got them out of the box I was happy.

Significant progress since last update - color fill epoxy is done and I am very very happy with the results. As long as I don't f- up the clear coat - I think mission accomplished. It wasn't quite the same as the $28 DIY MDF plain board that the idea was sourced from, but I think this is much more befitting my Braptor - and let's face it, I had lots and lots of time to kill while I was waiting (and still waiting - 6/2 build date)

I have a new project in mind for the OEM Tube Doors.

First I need to make them “mine”. Since having a shop paint them Carbonized Gray was ridiculous, I found the closest to them in Cerakote and did them at a friends with a light bake!

Stayed tuned!

IMG_9179.jpegIMG_9182.jpegIMG_9178.jpegIMG_9183.jpegI’ve got an extended trip to the wilds of Nevada and perhaps Idaho coming up next week and fortunately some parts I ordered arrived so I put them on.

Kuat Pivot 2.0 - it’s a swing away hitch adapter I ordered so I could use my old trusty Thule T2 Pro bike rack. There is less than one inch of clearance between my 35 inch spare and the Pivot device, so if you’re running 37’s this will not work for you. I was needlessly concerned about the Pivot system before I actually laid hands on it - it is solid as a rock and the cam system built into the shank eliminates any wobble or bounce. The tongue weight for my hitch is 350 pounds, and together the Pivot, bike rack and bike weigh about 160.

Ford Performance branded Rigid off road lights - I installed them as recommended by the instructions, except I zip tied the hot wire to existing electrical conduit at the rear of the engine bay instead of under the wiper cowl like they recommended.

On top is my fly rod holder. I started to affix my old Thule crossbars to the factory rails, but when I examined the factory bars I decided to mount directly to those. I’ve still got some plenty of room up top for my whitewater kayak when I go paddling.

Tube door project is coming together!

Got the centers painted and I’m happy with them.

Working with a good friend and his water jet, going to manufacture door armor for the tube doors to keep things in while riding around!

Cardboard Templates are laser cut and just dealing with tolerances and cut outs! Perfecting Molle placement.
