What did you do to your Bronco today?

I love this feature - this is not something my Bronco has -- does anybody know if this is something that can be added later? Is this a luxe package thing only?

Today I installed this mesh roof thing that came with Bonko. I had no instructions so I did my best. Afterwards I googled it and actually found that I'd gotten it mostly right just messed up the orientation of the straps at the rear speaker pods.

These things don't really make that much shade! Do people find it actually helps keep you cool / prevents burning your butt on seats after parking outdoors in the sun / prevents sunburns?

I tested it at 50mph so far and zero buffeting. Pretty impressive!

I don't have the same brand. But last summer, I found the mesh top really helps with how hot the NM sun feels. I think it helps a lot! And it cuts down on the wind. Went to Moab Labor Day weekend last year. Screen showed 119 in the afternoon. We did have AC on all day. And, if we were getting out, I would roll up windows as needed to keep sun from shining directly on the seats and would roll mine up if coming in on my side. It was very comfortable. However, we left Moab via I70 and the magnets holding the front down along the top of the windshield would not hold at 80+ mph. And, it doesn't stop the rain.

Finally got rid of the unsightly pinch welds. Went with the DV8 ones. Love the look and these things are solid. Not interested in running boards, since we are all tall enough to have zero issues getting in and out.

For those of you who have the center console vault installed. The felt lining would prevent you from using the key fob slot to start your Bronco if your key fob battery goes kaput. Got an Exacto knife and made to 2 slits to get access.

Checking with DV8 to see if these will work along with my stock running boards…. I like the design and being metal is a plus…

If they wont work I’ll probably mask off the pinch welds and spray with plastic-dip or hyper-dip

DV8 site says they work with their running boards, so you’d think they would work with any running boards. Hard to imagine the designs of running boards would be that different. They are definitely worth it, and we’re $10 cheaper than pretty much every other option.

Busy weekend before, during and after Super Cel East… added the BADASS Tents half rack before I left, installed the Rough Country Bimini top and a pair of paracord grab bars during Super Cel, and added the Mountains2Metal center console molle panel when I got home!

Installed those IAG foot pedals that go in the door hinge receiver. They are a really nice piece of hardware, and they are comfortable AF. Highly recommend.


Also I christened the truck BONKO. Brother in Law passed recently (f cancer); his nickname as a kid was Bonky. Just designed and 3D printed these myself, affixed with 3M double stick automotive tape. Hug your loved ones.

Unsure, except they do say they are wider than the weld flange (evidently hang over a little…

I was thinking when I saw your post that you got yours just before me (1/8/2022). I'm up to 18,500 or so on mine. Didn't buy it to watch it sit. LOL!
