Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

Has anyone added the front and/or rear corner trail armor? If so, thoughts and can you post a few pics? Thanks!

Installed my RokBlokz mud flaps yesterday. Then found a few puddles to test them. Still got some mud on the rear flairs but not as much as without flaps.
Also broke out forscan and turned off the double honk, turned in “Bambi mode” and turned on global close to roll up the windows with the remote.

Bronco Center Console Badge
My buddy and I blew the dust off our fiber laser, had a few badges made from anodized aluminum and currently in the process of figuring out how to sell these.
Any interest?
Thanks.

Good call! These puppies should come standard.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Just a heads up. The Steeda installation instructions are wrong. The gas shock should be on the hood side, not the fender side. I spoke with a Steeda customer service rep, and he confirmed the instruction sheet is wrong. #5 says to orient the gas shock to the fender end. The gas cylider should be at the hood attachment point.

Found out that my Bronco made it to the final rail yard about 25 miles from my dealer yesterday! Now the wait begins for the car carrier to snatch it up and take it to my dealer. One step closer!!!!! :D

Took a long drive, including doing the Young road from Heber to Miami. Did a little easy off-roading.
We did that drive a couple a weeks ago because I needed out, and I wasn’t going to wait until our Bronco shows up. So out in the old F350.

I finished the wiring of my aftermarket tow hitch receiver today. I bought the kit from etrailer, and put the receiver itself in a few weeks ago (it’s pretty easy). The wiring took two nights. Connecting the converter module to the rear lights isn’t too bad, took about 2 hours. Running the power line under the Bronco, and away from all the hot stuff was more difficult, and that took another couple of hours this evening.

Checked in with my dealer to see if she arrived from the rail yard…..still waiting.

Received some goodies from the UPS man from IAG!

Got my Baby Pic! This is my first glimpse of her! 😍 And this just took it to a whole new level of real! She’s gonna look a bit different when I actually see her in person for the first time, and I cannot wait!

Great to hear you were able to get it done. Any tips for those of us about to undertake the same thing? I have my hitch installed but have not started on the wiring yet.

I used the Curt T-connector harness specifically for the Badlands (LED lights), here.
Their instructions are pretty good. They say to wrap the wires around the bumper, but I found that it’s easier to just get underneath the Bronco and push the connectors up through the gap under the lights. You can see it pretty easily if you put a flashlight pointing down towards the bumper. The space behind the lights is tight. I put one connector right next to the existing chassis-mounted connector (towards the light, not the vehicle), which was a snug fit, but it works, and holds everything in place. Then I put the other connector onto the chassis-mounted connector shell. There’s not a lot of space to mount the adapter box, but I found spot on the frame just under the driver’s side light. It’s very tight, so make sure you have it pushed up against the bottom of the Bronco when you tape it in place, because it you let it touch the frame, it will stick instantly. They provide wire ties, but I ended up using a bunch of self-stick wire-management mounts that accept wire ties instead, since there isn’t a whole lot of places that you can actually wrap a wire tie around. There is a white ground wire that needs to be connected to the frame. They provide a screw, but I found that there is a bolt holding on a piece of body trim above the light (in the light box) and I simply removed that and re-installed it with the ground lug underneath the bolt head. I put a little silicone grease on the lug first, to ward off any corrosion.

When I ran the main power, I snaked it up and over the cross frame-rail near the rear tire, and then down the frame rail, and wire-tied it to the existing cable bundles running there. You want to make sure that it’s tied down enough to avoid the muffler and exhaust tube, which are right there. I continued running it down the frame rail, trying to keep it as high as possible. I snaked it around the body-to-frame mount (there is a big wire bundle there), and then up over the crash bar, behind the wheel well liner, and into the engine compartment. I wire-tied it in a couple of places, then cut it to length and spliced on the fuse and battery lug. I removed the existing flange nut to one of the electrical cables at the battery, and put the lug on the post, and then screwed the nut back on. All of this is doable without jacking the vehicle up, if you are not too big, and have a low creeper. But, it would have taken about 1/3 the time if I had a lift...

I’m going to get around to wiring my own hitch some day. Wasn’t there any way you could’ve passed the wires up through the passenger cabin so you could avoid the moisture situation?
