I’ve realized that my obsessiveness and indecisiveness on if I should keep or change my WT reservation really has one root cause - I freakin’ hate the way Ford restricted the interior combos offered with packages. As a 6 year Tesla owner, maybe I’m just spoiled by the ease and user interface of their technology ordering platform ... but I digress. Which got me thinking - maybe I should just go for the base package and get it completely customized in the aftermarket. Any suggestions on who/where I would start? I’d like new seats for sure, add custom wheels/tires, and potentially get a white hard top with a bikini top given the delays with the tops. But I don’t even know where or how to start pricing out what this would be. Appreciate the suggestions!

I'd choose the Bronco that has all your must have options (not just getting the mid package to get heated seats for example). Then decide what you want to add and go from there. Check your local area and make some calls to see if it's worth doing. Maybe not the suggestions you were asking for but my two cents.

What is your reservation date? if it's not sooner than a day 4 reservation, you may as well kick back and see what's available for the '22 or even '23 models If you want a '21, if you have not already ordered, that ship has sailed....

@PSUTE ... my reservation date is late August 2020. You make a great point although my dealer always seems very optimistic about it arriving late July/early August based on his intel. He could just not be as informed as those on this site!

Check out Maxlider Brothers - I haven’t worked with them but they specialize in custom Bronco builds and have a terrific reputation.

Never,Never ,NEVER !
Spend big money on something you don’t want.
Technology-you will never stay ahead of the curve.
Interior color trims- especially seats & carpet easily changed for a few grand.
Drivetrain-upgrades, depends on what you want it to be able to do. Generally where the big money is needed.
The best upholstery shop, is not the best electronics shop.
The best electronics shop is not the best off-road shop.
Show cars are built by multiple businesses with different specialties.
Buy the Base and go from there.
Just my opinion.

I got a late-day 3 reservation and have also been told dont expect anything till Late July/early August at best. So having an August reservation timestamp I would say unless they crank up production big time with no part allocation delays then you are easily Late 2021 if not early 2022
