Stock up on parts, while waiting on delivery?

I ordered a 2024 on the 17th (day after the books opened). It's obviously going to be a WHILE before I get it. lol

I've got a list of upgrades/mods I Want to do. Short term and long term.

Would you go ahead and start stocking up on (short term) parts so they're here and ready when the Bronco arrives?
Or wait?
Some items I don't think it will matter much price wise when they are purchased, but one in particular (the metal molle door pockets) are on sale from one manufacturer and I can get all 4 for like $80. Which seems to be a really good price compered to others I've seen. So I'm tempted to go ahead and start stocking up on things like this as they go on sale.

I filled my garage up over a period of 12mo. waiting on mine. Got tired of waiting and bought off a lot 800 miles away. When my actual order arrived, my daughter bought it. If you are set on getting a Bronco one way or another start gathering your add on parts. It was a lot easier for me to buy a few things every month instead of all at once. Here is a copy of my build sheet. I accumulated just about all this stuff over the year prior to actually getting Bronco. Click Link:

Congrats on your order, and I'm sorry for the delays you'll be up against. If you are relatively sure you will take delivery (you and your dealer have a signed purchase agreement so no ADM surprises, etc) and you can save some money on a part that likely won't have to change between model years, you wouldn't be doing anything unusual among this group!

I still have things I bought for the Bronco that I haven't had time to install. I've had my Bronco since February 25th 2022, and had quite a few things purchased before it arrived. I keep finding things that I put away lol. Some day I'll get them installed!

I converted my 2023 to a 24 on the same day, I actually didn't start buying until i converted my order to a 24. Thankfully I have plenty of space at my work warehouse, so I'm getting ready for when it arrives! I've made a small dent in my build list so far.

Glad I'm not alone in my thought process. lol..

Just ordered the door molle pockets from IAG, for all 4 doors, for $91 including shipping.

Next pay day I think I'll go ahead and pick up a winch mount for the modular bumper from them as well. Out of all the ones I've seen it looks the best (IMO), aside from WARN, but I just can't bring myself to pay WARN prices. Especially since I won't go with a WARN winch.

What did you order? That might help give people ideas on what would be good to get.
If your Bronco isn't going to be delivered before Christmas, you may want to keep your eye out for Black Friday and Christmas sales for things like
Additional Exterior Lighting
Additional steel or aluminum things (skid plates, additions to bumpers, new bumpers etc)
Interior stuff (grab handles, cup holders, floor mats)

Sure, that's the reason I put it on here. Hope it helps. Some of the links are no longer active. I built the spreadsheet and started buying the stuff in Feb. of 22.

It has begun. The Tacoma is gone, went home with its new owner yesterday. And my first bronco accessory came. The door molle pockets. They’ll be in the box for a while obviously but, the stocking up will continue with probably the winch mount and then winch, respectively. I already have a yankum rope I bought last year so that will transfer over as an accessory, I guess I can count that too. So far on the list to order while waiting (and most likely in this order):

•Door pockets - Check.
•Winch Mount for modular bumper.
•Winch
•amber pod lights for front mirror mounts (rigid D-Series)*
•back up lights for rear (rigid SRM)*

This mod list continues but these for sure I want to have here and ready before the bronco arrives.

*(Rigid brand lights, Unless y’all can suggest lights of equal quality and brightness for a more affordable price.)
