Waiting on my dealership to fix my 2.3 hard brake pedal issue. 100 miles from home. We will see. I told them no way they will keep it overnight. Either they fix it or I take it home and fix it myself.

is that the clogged vacuum line issue? should be an easy fix, if they have the part.

I sure hope it is an easy fix. They look at me funny when I show them the codes and the tsb. Weird. Made this appointment five weeks ago and gave them all the information. We will see.

Buy my laptops refurbished with windows 7. I'm on satellite interwebz. your 3.5 hours would be twice that for me. Hate that it takes over your computer and threre's nothing you can do about it...

Now that the dealer has verified my prognosis from two months ago.....they have to order the part.....Imagine my surprise (not really) it's on back order till who knows when.
Bonus: Had them do a lube oil filter and 5 tire rotation and that was only $82.00

You do very nice work. When I was in the scouts back in the day we toted several of these lanterns around. Always gives me flashbacks. Nowadays im a campfire and LED in the camper guy, but every once in a while I want to break out an old lanternlike that. Just dont want to cary the coleman fuel about. :)

Yeah,
I don’t care for toting the fuel around either.,
But this will be the first time “in decades” that I’ll have a rig that I can haul it outside of the truck.(receiver hitch carrier)
It was so funny…
One of My Buddy’s boys came over (he’s 21)
And he was wondering what I was working on. He’s never seen one
We spent the day totally rebuilding a 1954.- 220.
We fired it up that evening and he was ecstatic (he was so confused) how those glowing mantles could cut thru the darkness.
The next night he was showing his Buddy ,
They just stared at it for hours.

As for the led ?
Yeah, those lanterns that you saw me converting to electric were compromised units , rusted thru tanks , stripped fount threads , broken necks etc…

it’s all good.
Gotta be doing something between trips !

So no word from my dealer but hunting online I found one so I bought it. Funny thing is it was my dealership that had it. I have to travel a lot with my mom having issues so needed it fixed asap. I bought it and it was next day to me and 10 minutes to install. It was cheaper for me to do this than lose another day of wages for the 150.00 it cost me. Still waiting to hear from the service dept...LOL I cleared the codes and the brakes have never felt better.
