Smallest rims?

I like the idea of a smaller rim with a bigger tire; I like a lot of sidewall.
The squatch comes with r17/35s and the base comes with r16/30s right? So does that mean without making suspension modifications I could do r16/35s? The K02 appears to come in this size.

I'd love to hear y'alls thoughts on going this route and make sure I'm not wasting my time doing something that's been done and proven to be dumb. :)

Some aluminum 16s might be too thick to clear so you might be doing some trial and error fitment. I was able to get a 15 on the front with gobs of backspacing.

I have a set of 35/10.5/16s on base steelies I run on occasion.

I think you need to think beyond the obvious and go with something unique, like this...
