So do these shackles lock on? If not I would make sure they do.

Unfortunately, we're all vulnerable to theft. Somebody could steal our fender flares in <2 minutes. Those classy D-rings could go in <1 minute. I have to park on the street in a "Progressive" city, so I'm now researching catalytic converter armor.

I ran short on time yesterday. The hardware took longer than expected and I had to fix my bed yesterday. Slept on the living room floor Saturday night. Good times. Wiring goes in today, hopefully.

Anything can be stolen by anyone at anytime. I guess at some point, we have to just admit we’re powerless to some thievery. The honor system only goes so far, after all. If someone is going to steal my Bronco-specific shackles, they either need them more than I do or are so hard up for cash, they’re willing to steal something to sell for hot cash to get whatever it is they need. I guess the only thing we can do as a community is to ask for receipts when buying used merchandise. LOL

I have these in graphite so I cant speak to how close to Cyber orange their color is. They are American made and a reasonable price too. I wish they had their heavier duty ones in other colors besides red and black.

Yeah - unfortunately I don't share this sentiment. I do my best to be a nice and understanding person, but once that line gets crossed...you're at the wrong party.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m as eye-for-an-eye as you can get, and Lord help anyone I catch stealing something from me. I’m just not going to sit around and worry about it. LOL

I paid $340 for my Archetype Racing shackles. Now I can’t wait to get stuck. Oh, wait. Never mind. My buddy Eric said “I’d better use ‘em!” Really. I’ll need to get stuck often to justify them, but they just look so good! LOL

Apologies to the OP for hijacking, but I saw an opportunity to be helpful here. ;)

@Fencelizard actually my parking spot is remarkably roomy! In fact, I paid extra for it so I wouldn't have to worry about door dings (more on that later)...

As seen here, my Bronco sits pretty comfortably in ample space, still I didn't take any chances so I bought self-adhesive foam bumper guards and mounted them on the wall beside me. I got a package of four pads from Amazon. They give me peace of mind. I've added one more pad since the original photo was taken, so now both doors are protected regardless of how I pull into my space.
