Seems Roman from TFL is still unhappy about Ford/Bronco

starts at around 2 minutes. Throws a tantrum about ford being at jeep safari. You can tell he has some emotions against ford

Are they still mad about ford cutting them out? Should ford just throw them a private ride along or drive to get them to calm down or will this continue forever?

He was at the Bronco booth looking around. He looked...less than jovial. Probably just upholding his brand though.

As a 2 decade long Jeep guy, they should be concerned about the new competition from the 6th generation Bronco. Everything I have seen and heard about the Bronco is scary for a company that has held the alpha spot in consumer off roading. I am excited to get my Bronco but will also keep my Jeeps. Why can’t we all just get along?

I don't think he will. His whole schtick is at least appearing impartial. He'll acknowledge the greatness if it's there but he just might inflate the quirks and imperfections that will probably be there in a new vehicle a bit.

I think he does a pretty good job, but I don't take him too seriously, kind of with a grain of salt. Mmmm, salt.

I like how they constantly talk about a Ford in a Jeep Safari video . You can't get much better marketing than that ,LOL .

Last summer a good friend bought a Jeep Gladiator and spent time giving me a detailed walk around. Pride oozed from every cell in his body as he highlighted all the features an off-road enthusiast admires. The steel bumpers, rock rails, washout floors with drain plugs, modularity, aftermarket support, etc. He highlighted the shortcomings regarding wheels, tires, spare tire placement, and a plan to switch out components with cash in hand. Total budget $70,000+

By that time, I knew a great deal regarding the Bronco Badlands model and thought, “Oh Boy”, Ford incorporated all the best parts and fixed all the worst parts that you find in a Jeep. On that day I understood the tightrope I will be walking as I attempt to integrate within my Jeep saturated environment.

Maybe large corporations will always focus on making money and increasing market share. My reality is to engage in off-road group activities with Jeep owners. Seems my efforts may have gotten slightly more challenging. Welcome to my world!

I think that's the dominate attitude that I've seen at all the events I've been to the past few months. 4x4 folks just love cool 4x4s.

I thought it was a good discussion. I agree that I thought Ford was pretty bold to set up a booth and give rides at a huge Jeep event. I also think that was smart. The issue I have in Florida is that most 4X4 clubs are Jeep clubs. 4X4 events tend to be Jeep events. If there are Bronco events in Florida, I'm not aware of them. And, it will take a long time to saturate the market with enough Broncos to build those local Bronco events.

Ford did crash the party, but they did so with permission. If they had a booth, they obviously registered to be there and got the booth. The organizers and/or municipality could of said no. If they didn't then they could of been asked to leave by the police. The organizers/municipality obviously care more about money.

I have a Chevy Colorado diesel Bison, the Toyota and Jeep groups in Texas have always welcomed me in.

Being there all week, it didn't feel like party crashing at all really. Jeep folks were giving us thumbs up on the trails and cheering when we went by. When Ford parked some of the new builds in town, people stopped and talked and seemed pretty stoked. From what I saw, it was a nice 4x4 community event.

Who said other 4x4 vehicles couldn't be at Easter Jeep safari anyways..... I think it's better for competition to show up because competition only makes everyone try harder and we all know Jeep got lazy the last few years but are finally trying to add and make changes to their platform. Win win for everyone.
