I have been getting false alerts from this sensor for the past month or so. Took it to the dealer today who couldn’t find a fault so they cleaned it and re-installed thinking that has fixed it, but no. It is back in the shop for further diagnostics.
Anyone had a similar issue?

Hope your dealer gets ya fixed, know how annoying these parking sensor alerts can be. Our Bronco doesn't like heavy dew. It's not a problem in our dry Colorado, but while visiting south Texas, we were getting red close alerts from every sensor every morning.

Cleaning usually works, but sounds like you may have a bad sensor or wiring fault.

They seem to be very sensitive to any kind of “stuff” on them… Part of my routine this time of year is a quick clean all around the rig before starting…

If mine get a little snow/ice they go nuts. Dirt, road grime, etc. don't seem to be an issue. Hope this might help.

Try swapping with the other side and see if the problem follows the sensor or not.

If it’s the sensor, shoot me a PM - I recently bought a 4 pack but only need 2 and I am happy to send you one 👍🏼

Thanks. Standby. I’ll be talking to the dealer later today. Às an aside for the group we did all the cleaning ,etc, which didn’t help. Apparently there are electrical gremlins that can cause issues with an otherwise good sensor. With most of my driving in town I frequently get the message that some systems are shutting down to preserve battery. This battery issue is worthy of a whole thread on its own.
