Anyone have familiarity with this device? Would it impact the warranty? Sounds like it is very effective.

We have this system installed on two 66 mustangs. It’s an amazing system! Not sure if the warranty would be effected as there is much wiring incorporating into the main wire harnesses to make the system effective. I’d ask the service department at your local Ford dealer. Definitely following this feed as I too have the same question.

Ravelco looks like a solid device. However, its also pricey and not sure how it installs because no one really knows minus installers. So voiding the factory warranty is a grey area. If you forget the Ravelco key or want it uninstalled you are in a pickle and I think they have to cut a small hole in your dash for the key. *Nonetheless any extra auto security is Good and you can never have too much IMO.

Another option. For a third of the price you can instead buy a pin activated digital pedal lock device from NT Auto in our Bronco Nation link below for less than any other authorized dealer in the nation. See our pedal lock tutorial video in link below as well.

NT Auto has been selling auto theft deterrents, some patented, for over 30 years on millions of cars around the globe. Plus my husband was a former member of the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI).

The digital pedal lock is an easy DIY install device and it won't void your factory warranty.

When pedal lock is armed, no one can drive off in your bronco. Plus it has two other features built in (throttle controller and valet power reduction mode).

If you ever forget your pedal lock PIN that you create, the device has lockout technology built in. Its also a multi step arming process so you can't accidentally arm your pedal while driving.

If after you arm the pedal lock device you remove the LCD controller or a thief cuts the cord to the LCD controller, the harness locking your pedal still remains armed.

If a thief has enough time to break in and start the car, then realizes the pedal is armed (doesn't function) they most likely will move onto an easier target. Most car theft happens in under 5 minutes. However, if not and the thief takes the time to stick their head in the floorboard to remove the gas pedal assembly harness while the car is on...dash lights will turn on, the engine sputter and the vehicle won't operate correctly. If the thief doesn't wait for the ECU to power down with driver door cracked open for up to 20 minutes with the car off, same dash light/engine sputter problems will happen in most cases if they remove the harness.

For a limited time we're also offering our traceable security labels NT Auto designed exclusively for bronco owners for FREE with your sprint booster purchase ($28 value). You would simply let us know your model year, bronco trim and which design you prefer (Logo or Script) after purchasing your pedal lock device. These security labels are a visual deterrent that easily install on metal surfaces like door jambs. More importantly they help police identify the rightful owner if your stolen vehicle is recovered with vin tags and vin plates removed via our secure registry database. Your unique code number and our 800 number are both UV traceable even if labels removed. Plus they just look cool and might even help reduce your monthly insurance premium.

If any questions let us know so we can help and/or read more about these products in our bronco nation links below.

I installed the Ravelco. It won't impact the warranty. It takes some getting used to...but she's not going to be stolen unless they drag it up on a flatbed.

I have had it installed on my last 2 F-350s. It was great and I did not have any warranty issues. The only downfall is the remote start will not work if the device "key" is not installed. That will not be an issue on my Manual Bronco.

I have this on my 2017 F-150. It lowered my Ins., a little. This isn't cheap, but then getting a new truck costs more. It does not impact the warranty. The Ravelco folks will call and work with the dealer if needed. I spoke to my dealer before I had it installed. I'm going to put it on the Bronco as well. Without the key in the truck, it will not start.

I did a little research on Ravelco. It has 4 wires that interrupt 2 circuits that are for starting. It is a fancy kill switch with a coded key.

After a failed attempt on my F150 I got the Ravelco. It’s a deterrent for sure but nothing is 100% reliable anti theft. If they really want it they’ll get it.

I probably won’t get it on the Bronco since it’s not as popular for thieves as the F150. I garage all my vehicles so that’s the best you can do.

I use a Stoplock Elite Pro. It is a steering wheel lock. A good deterrent. Thieves get get the vehicle but it takes about 6 minutes and they will have to make some noise. They generally cut the steering wheel. With StopLock you need to cut it twice to get the vehicle. Fool proof. No, but from what I have read it suits my needs for now. the Revelco is interesting.

My dealer has an option for an engine disable. It is expensive and you need to put in a 6 digit code every time you start your vehicle by pressing a pre determined pattern on the steering wheel buttons. Even if the thief starts the vehicle once it get put into drive it stops. It seems a bit tiresome to use the code every time you start the engine and sometimes you have to put it in twice to get the engine to start. I will stick with the lock for now.

Yep that's what is does. To date folks can't figure out how to break it fast enough so they can steal your vehicle. If you believe their ads they have never had a vehicle stolen. Folks don't pay attention to alarms. I still don't understand why you put etching on your windows so when they find your stolen car they know it was yours, at that point I don't want it back. The connector has 16 pins to make it more difficult to break the code. They hide the wires under the hood so you can't see them and don't know it's there, unless you know it's there. My 2¢.

After you cut off the 16 pin connector, there are only 3 combinations of ravelco wiring combinations. A simple old fashioned hot wire.

I found it. Pedal lock is a feature included with the Sprint Booster v3 throttle device. It's similar to Pedal Commander.

To me this is the key to any alarm, etc. it's a good deterrent. If it makes the crook take to long to get the vehicle they will move on. We hope!! :0)

My opinion, problem is Bronco. The thief may want one and there is a very good chance yours is the only one around.

Try this one. See purchase link below if interested in buying one from us and check out the youtube video as well to see how it works. If any questions just let us know. Also pasted link below to our BN thread regarding same. FYI the original links above you tried that didn't work were from the OLD Bronco Nation site--The old BN links didn't fully transition to the new site over the last year which was no fun because they contained positive independent BN customer reviews of the product + NT's customer service.

FYI Bronco Nation. NT is in the process of launching a new dealership theft prevention program in the USA (soft launch first) whereby the pedal guard (pedal lock) security system will be married with a theft protection warranty if your car is stolen and not recovered within 30 days from the date stolen. After the latter program launches later this year, in an effort to devote 100% of our time to this new nationwide program for car dealers...we will most likely be suspending our BN retail sales division of the sprint booster/pedal guard product.

In the interim if anyone would like to buy a sprint booster aka pedal lock from us, you can do so using the link(s) below. We currently sell em retail for less than any other retail dealer in the nation.

Hope this helps and we also hope everyone doing well!! PS-we miss being on here more often engaging with the community and we miss our bronco!! Glad the community is still rolling strong!! *Take care guys n gals
