Raptor or not the Raptor?

So, since I've been waiting patiently for a video on the WT, but BL has been stealing the spot light this past few months, and I am already getting bored hearing about it. So after hearing about the reveal of the new F150 Raptor, I notices something odd. I am wonder if the Wildtrak is the Bronco Raptor and this mysterious new line of Raptor that they so called the Raptor "R" is the Warthog for the Bronco?
I know I am not the only one thinking of this and please somebody give the Wildtrak the light of the show, I know the wildtrak got something good over Badland!

From what I've read the Warthog is going to be a completely new animal in the Bronco lineup. Starting with wider fenders, bigger motor, 37's and same fox suspension from Raptor. Pic below of Warthog and current Sasquatch Bronco side by side. Ordered a couple FE'S, but hoping to save my third reservation for a Warthog. My prediction is we'll see the Warthog available in late 2022 as a MY23, right after all the reservation orders have been filled. It sure is going to be fun to see the Camo come off of this beast.

I am with you, would love to see more coverage on the other trims. I think Ford used the Badlands for the ride alongs to showcase the sta-bar disco and is their all around off-roader. Would of been cool to see the Wildtrak blasting through desert though! :p

My thought is the Raptor R is coming to dethrone the Ram TRX and bringing V8 firepower to the fight. Likely the 5.2 supercharged V8 from the GT-500 stang or maybe something more badazz!

Yep, that is the current rumor and the one that makes the most sense. I can't imagine the price tag but I still bet they will sell everyone they will produce.

The reason I mentioned, is because the new Raptor is powered with a 3.5L V6 with equal length exhaust (wish that exhaust setup is the same with the Wildtrak) and the Raptor R as rumors had it is the V8 power plant. My prediction is since Ford has been keeping the hold off with the WT so they can paired with the new Raptor and the WH with Raptor R. I think the story about the Bronco 4600 (again the grill has the R in red) is the key example of what Warthog may look (setup wise) just with a different power plant.

So, you're saying the Wildtrack is like the Raptor, and the Warthog is like the Raptor R?

I don't see it. Unless you mean the Wildtrack is the desert runner of the group like the Raptor is the desert runner of the F150's.

Yes, think about it. The Raptor sole purpose is extreme high speed "desert runner" just like the WT intention, not off road like the Rubicon (even though we can set both to be one). Both the Wildtrak and the new 2022 Raptor is a V6 power plant not a V8. The Warthog and the Raptor R on the other hand is supposedly "according to leak sources" is powerd with the V8 and beefier spec then the current WT and the 2022 Raptor.

The Wildtrak is an upgraded version of the Outerbanks, just like the Badlands is an upgraded Black Diamond. The whole “desert runner” moniker is just marketing. There’s nothing unique about the WT suspension that makes it any better in the desert than any other Sasquatch model.

Funny you mention that, but if you look at the Bronco sport, the Wildtrak doesn't exist on their lineup. The Outerbank 2/4 doors is the highest Luxury in its class with more comfort choice then most of the Bronco lineup. I think Big bend and Outerbanks are together and Black Diamond and Badland are together. All I know is some of these trims level is not complete/finalize that I am aware of and I haven't heard anything but the BL. One thing I want to point out, the Ranger Wildtrak and the Ranger Raptor is almost identical. ( https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/ranger-wildtrak-vs-ranger-raptor-live-demonstration.987/ ) Plus they are one group together in Ford market. The "R" is the new high performance group. The Tremor is badland truck version. That how I see it on Ford marketing everywhere else unless Ford speak up. We all have our differences and I appreciate hearing them and I appreciate everyone putting in their thoughts about mine.

I’d be stoked if you were right. I originally had a WT reserved because I wanted a Bronco with a desert tuned suspension. After a lot of research I couldn’t find anything that made it better suited for high speed off-roading than a squatched Outerbanks with a 2.7 (except for the Baja mode). I switched my res over to a Badlands for the upgraded bumpers/skid plates and MGV seats.

You're hearing about and seeing the Badlands more because it's the most versatile, most capable trim in the lineup. It's also the halo trim, at least until the Warthog is unleashed.

Any Bronco can be versatile, once the aftermarket hit the shelves.

Agreed. Raptor R is going to be the V8 Raptor to go against the TRX. It is going to be limited in numbers. There has been several youtube videos on it from Revmatch to TFL. They all quote "unnamed sources". WT is just another trim (model) on the Bronco that comes w the SAS instead of having to upgrade to the SAS option. I thought this was well known, but maybe I just watch too many youtube videos on all things anything Bronco, Ford, or Raptor.

Stock or not, still versatile. It's like saying the black diamond can't do what Badlands can if both has Sasquatch. But really they can just one is manual disconnect and the other is remote (just like the jeep wrangler class).

True, but the push of a button disconnect verse crawling under the front end and disconnecting the sway bar is not the same or not as convenient. Ford is selling "off the show room floor your bronco can do this" with the Badlands trim. I've never tried to disconnect a sway bar but I'm assuming you cant just "disconnect" the factory bar, I would think that's an after market bar that would allow that.
