I doubt that, they've said it comes stock with "400bhp". However, there have been some people that have tuned the 3.0L ecoboost to 600+whp.In a Raptor YouTube with a Ford engineer he stated the Raptor is tuned to make “90% peak power at redline. He actually corrected himself, first saying “90% of peak horsepower” at redline. As many of you know, horsepower is a derived number : Hp=torque x rpm/5252.. the engineer’s term peak power means peak torque. Doing the math on this the Raptors horsepower could beat the Wrangler 392’s lofty 470hp. IMO. MY ESTIMATE IS 475.. 500 isn’t out if the question. Torque estimate. 430.

Not being argumentative here, but Ford spokespeople have always clearly stated “more than 400 horsepower”.. beyond that one Ford engineer said “we are taking our time to tune it”.. If you look at all the work they did to improve the intake plumbing, exhaust and new turbos over what was used on the 3.0 used in the Explorer SV, I hardly believe it was done to keep the hp at 400 or add a mere 20-25 hp. They went to a lot of effort and expense and I believe they want bragging rights over the Jeep 392’s 470 hp. We will know soon.I doubt that, they've said it comes stock with "400bhp". Sorry if I came off argumentative, wasn't intended to be. I can't imagine they'll go over 450 due to the f-150 raptor. That being said, I would love to see a v6 turbo from the factory with 500+ more than most, my 2.7 f-150 is currently tuned just below 400hp to the wheels and can't take much more on stock turbos. Not bring argumentative here, but Ford spokespeople have always clearly stated “more than 400 horsepower”.. beyond that one Ford engineer said “we are taking our time to tune it”.. You make a good point with the F150 Raptor and I believe it’s why Ford delayed the real horsepower info on the BRAPTOR.. they didn’t want to step on 150 Raptor toes. But they are about to release info on the 150 Raptor R with a supercharged V8 making 700 plus hp.. 500hp for BRAPTOR won’t hurt big brothers feelings when RRaptor gets 700 ponies.Sorry if I came off argumentative, wasn't intended to be.
