Poor ride quality after upgrading tires and wheels?

I recently got my 2022 Bronco Big Bend and decided to upgrade the tires and wheels. I expressed to the outfitter that I most likely wouldn't be taking my Bronco off road any time soon and was looking to keep the same ride quality it has on pavement but upgrade the look. It was suggested that I stay with 17" wheels and change the tires to 33" from the 32" OEM Bridgestone Duelers. I went with the Fuel Covert D694 wheels and 285/70R17 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. After getting the upgrade, my Bronco looked fantastic but the ride quality really changed and became rough with vibrations that I wasn't feeling with the standard equipment. The outfitter rebalanced the wheels which didn't make a difference. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks.20220712_115354.jpg20220712_090239.jpg

:) Tires were out of balance, extremely out of balance ! It rides 100% better! They were unable to correct Speedo however. ?they don’t have forscan?
Running 36 up front 34 rear and will try the contact patch trick.
Thanks

I added 1.5 inch wheel spacers to mine and it improved the handling and the top heaviness. For the price its worth it. It might improve yyour ride quality. im on the basic 30"s with steel wheels btw.

Here's a article we should all follow when installing new tires and rims.

I’ve heard of a similar issue with the nittos. An acquaintance with a new tundra out on the same tires but 35’s and experienced similar vibration. He thought it was his alignment… might be that or balancing or the tire is so outta whack it can’t be balanced. Best of luck. They look great!

See my signature for response. ;)

Though to be honest, the wife's Jeep has Ridge Grapplers on it and I can't say the on road ride is any worse than the Goodyears it replaced. By you saying rough vibrations I'd go with a bad tire or bad balancing or even mud in the wheels (but you said pavement driving). And you say they were re-balanced. Do you happen to know if they needed a ton of weights on one of the wheels? Could be a funky wheel too I suppose. I'm just shooting from the hip here.

So I also switched from the stock rim to a Fuel wheel, Vectors but I used the same tire which is the 35 from Goodyear. No issues as or yet. Couple pics of the new and one of the old.

Wait, didn't the guy you built the tires/wheels from balance them? Or maybe you threw a weight?! in either case, I'm glad you get it resolved.

tires and wheels and Tpms were removed from vehicle and sold to me. What previous owner didn’t realize is tire store employee broke down tires to remove oem Tpms sensors as he didn’t know new ones had been purchased for new rims! They just put them back together w/o rebalancing FFF00216-F558-4A06-9C04-F024C38749AF.jpegE86CDAE9-E929-4AB8-B2C3-C6F9692F92DE.jpeg9C102F16-3D2B-42EF-B950-EA99285846FB.jpeg

If you went with Nittos what ply tired did you get. Sometimes the heavier ply tires with make for a much rougher ride.
