My wife snuck in to the dealership before it was detailed just so she could say she sat in it first. After 2 years of waiting we are loving it!

She has been very nice to me and let me drive it, she has always gotten our new cars until this one starting with an ’85 5.0 Mustang that I had to have a license plate frame made that said “Dave wanted it, Christy got it”. I asked her if she wanted to dig it out of the garage for the Bronco

The first thing you’re going to want to do @wordyo24 is remove the Beauty Rings, this is accomplished by getting yourself a Torx T45 (NOT) the T45 Plus, the plus has rounded ends and you may strip the Torx bolts..
You still have to be careful on removing them as they have Locktite on the Threads, make sure to push hard and straight towards the bolts to not slip out of the Torx pattern….
I would read up on how to take the bolts out, just to make sure you understand the risks of doing this….
The reason why I say this is because putting them back in is also challenging if you plan on not taking off or out the Locktite……
Make sure to sand the Beauty Rings very well, to ensure that the paint will stick well, the beauty rings have a enamel coating on them.
I didn’t take all of the enamel off, just make sure you sand enough so that there are no shiny parts on the beauty rings, this will allow the paint to stick better..
I used a paint called “Chrome Cast” this is a paint designed to stick to shiny surfaces, just in case I missed sanding some areas.
Note:
Make sure to get all around and inside where the bolts seat on the beauty rings, I didn’t sand there perfectly and some of the paint has chipped off, not real noticeable, but I noticed…

Congratulations on finally getting your VB Bronco…… I can’t figure out why I like that color so much, I’ve seen it before……….. somewhere……….. well it’ll come to me eventually……🤣

There is a small town near Albuquerque. On guy ordered an EG 2dr BD. Figured he'd be the only one. Gets it and immediately spots a 2dr EG WT, lives in same town.
