I want to go to Gordy's Hill (Socorro) - the snow doesn't hang very long down there. Have to wait until April or so for these, but I want to do McMillan pass (Jemez) and LaVentana (BLM land about 10 miles east of Cuba). And.....Blow Hole and La Bajada Hill and Tank Trap is a really fun trail (all in the same area of the Jemez-off 599). And, I want to go to Colorado and do Chinamen's Gulch (which is now called something else and I can't remember the new name) and I want to go to St. Elmo's and feed the chipmonks and do one of the mountain trails (this is all between Salida and Buena Vista). And, I would like to do Wheeler Lake, Georgia Pass and Mosquito Pass (this is all around Fairplay, CO). I could go on and on. But, we do at least need to do another Bronco meet up. Anthony just did one last weekend, but he only posted it on the FB group New Mexico Ford Bronco Club.
Would you prefer a meet up 1st or a trail ride?
I've never been to Montessa Park. Don't think I want to go this weekend though. Jeff's step father passed away and he is in Indiana until Monday. I have parts and tools, just no skills if I bend a tie rod and I will bend a tie rod eventually.
Dude, I'm seriously as happy for you as I was when I got mine!!! It's surreal isn't it?
@14U did @Darrel listen to our convo today??? LOL

OMG! What has everyone been up to since yesterday? I have 209 posts to look through!😂
My girls found this somehow. They love it. Bunch of old fat guys. Playing the drums is a workout. Don't know why he is so big? No intentions to fat shame. Sorry if anyone is offended.
No doubt @Wolf can hook us up ,
For a quick lunch.
I can feed an Army! My best friend on the job died back in 2007. I am the Godfather of his youngest son, and we remain close with the family. His wife is coming over tomorrow with her boyfriend for dinner. She loves our girls and the girls love her. So, I have 5 pounds of steak tips marinating for tomorrow. Because, I know how my girls are. After I came back from shopping, they said that they were having friends over to watch the Celtics game tomorrow and wanted to make sure they had food for them. So, I have enough steak tip for them. But, then they want me to make scallops wrapped in bacon. I made that for my wife tonight! At least that means that I can drive my Bronco tomorrow.😂
Okay so first we made it. Everything is okay and the Bronco is home.
We didnt get back from the dealer till late and we were completely wiped out so I hit the rack. Its an hour drive to the dealer in Santa Fe and after getting the kiddos to bed I was tired out.
Speaking of the dealer- Capitol Ford in Santa Fe was awesome. Kept their word on everything, No problem with the Private Offer stuff, got us a great rate and treated us right. Nothing but good things to say about them. This is the second vehicle I have bought from them, and they have a customer for life.
Okay first impression of the Bronco: This is a big vehicle! Bigger than I remember from the off-rodeo. The kids kinda had to Fosberry-Flop into the back, but they will grow into it.
Second Impression: I was impressed with how sure footed a pony this is. I had only driven in the dirt (again at the off-rodeo) but great road manners. Looking forward to getting out an fiddling about on some go-fast dirt.
Third- The Radio was not terrible! It sounded nicer than I thought it would. First song was..
... and it sounded pretty darn good.
When I was talking to the special-order guy at Capitol Ford, he told me that I was their oldest remaining (and fulfilled) order. He also told me that he had enough allocation that his remaining orders were going to be okay with all the recent constraint news, so that's good news for folks.
So, after 26 months and three reorders, the truck is home, and actually almost exactly what I ordered initially (I mean aside from the color). It's been a long road getting here, but now it's time to actually enjoy this thing.
One last thing- I want to thank everyone on this board, the staff, and especially the regulars on this thread. You guys made this process much better. I can't imaging waiting this out without folks I can run my mouth with, compare notes, and just generally shoot the breeze. Thank you.
That is sweet! Good luck with it!

The color is a little different in the sunlight. Like a chameleon. 😂
I 100% agree, this is one of those songs that gets your Blood flowing, and the adrenaline racing through your body.
Pretty much all Godsmack and Disturbed songs make me jump in (whatever off-road vehicle you own) my Bronco and hit the Sand Dunes, crank it up, put the pedal to the metal and break $h!+…
“Such an Adrenaline Rush” ahhhhhh….
It is just impossible to listen to Barry Manilow and crank up the hill pumped.🤣
🤣🤣Why would you want to do that??? You’ll get the most use out if it in this state!
If that’s possible, I would like to buy someone’s Sport mode!! I don’t have it☹️
Sport mode is great! And sounds good too! Fast.

Steak tips? I'd invite myself over--except I have to be on hand for a crew putting in a new furnace. Last one was about 50 years old, so I'm not too bummed out, but we gotta do it.
Nice color and trim job on that Sport. Get a bit of lift on her when you can.
@Wolf, @Mal -- you guys are really classing up this place with those amazing vehicles. Both of you picked awesome colors. Wolf, after the first time you take it off-road, you're going to feel like being on pavement is such a waste of that beast ;) I remember that feeling well after we did Colorado in our borrowed Sport BL. Mal, your Bronco looks fantastic 😎 Congratulations!
I am considering the Off Rodeo in New Hamspshire. I'll see if the fam wants to do it, too.
It's not as annoying as I thought it might be. It really only bothers me when I first start out. If I stop and the engine shuts off before it even had time to warm up.

If you can make it, we should have plenty! Just have to deal with a crazy Husky and that mean Maine Coon Cat!😂

This thing is quick. I find myself driving it faster than any other vehicle that I can remember. Probably not a good thing. I passed my first Jeep today and pulled in front of it and was like...yeah, we are here! 😂

Well I found out the steel rear bumper on the Bronco bends easily. I caught the edge of my garage door on it backing in tonight. I think if I hadn't pulled forward it wouldn't be as bad. I feel pretty stupid.

I have to say, the universal garage door opener on the sun visor, is pretty cool.
