I actually have the Ford Pass app for my wife’s Bronco Sport and added mine as soon as I got a VIN. Thanks for the tip! It says “Activate Vehicle” on the app. I’m afraid to push it… 😂
I pushed that button. It looked for the truck for a long while, and then said to try again when I was within range of the vehicle. I was hopeful I could use it to track the truck, but not quite yet.

I think as soon as someone has to start it up, a button will come up on the screen in the Bronco. Then your Ford Pass app will be linked up to your Bronco. I'm going by memory, and that's become really sketchy in the last couple of years!

I have to share something somewhere - I'm choosing this thread. I'm leading a trail tomorrow and I'm very excited. I set up an event on the New Mexico Bronco Club FB group. In the description of the event, I put "Please no alcohol on the trail". The off-road club I've belonged to discourages it and I'm in agreement with that.
Some a$$ hat said that it is none of my business if anyone drinks and next trail ride I lead needs to start at 10:30ish because he goes out to breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. I responded that I was sorry about that and if it makes a difference, we won't be starting the trail until 10am. He said that I'm an idiot - he can't possibly be there by 10 am. And, that I've offended everyone in the group because of my "rules" on not drinking on the trail and that I should get kicked out.
Just wanted to share that with you all.
I'm going to add this too - some of you know me and have met me and know that I'm a 62 year old woman who loves big tires and off -road vehicles and I just love 4-wheeling! This $hit has brought me to tears. Just trying to form a little community here in NM of people that like Broncos and also might like to take them off road.
I try so hard to remember that words matter. And, I'm reminded this afternoon on how true that is.
Thank you for letting me share. Please don't kick me off the forum, pretty please!

Stick to your guns, anyone who wants to drink on during a trail ride is not someone I'd want to be on one with. After the ride is a different story if everyone has a get together at the end...

It's your event. You set it up, your leading the trail ride. You KINDLY invited other people. You set the time and the most basic of asks. If some schmuck gets butt-hurt because of it, that's on them. Don't let some entitled knob who thinks the sun revolves around them ruin something g good you are doing. Stay strong and be proud that this is your thing, not their's

Which is also planned. Because I like a beer after a trail ride and for those that don't want to wheel their Bronco. That you @PSUTE!

If it involves a Voodoo doll, I want in on that. 😈

Rise above this. You're better than him. Let him arrange his own event. You wouldn't want to run with his crowd. Stand by your convictions and hold your ground. People respect that and if some don't, they're not the kind of people worth sharing the trails.

I would just respond that you are sorry he can’t make it and maybe you will see him next time. I haven’t done any off road runs, but have done plenty of organized road trips. This is just my opinion here. Find a core group of fellow travelers, maybe 7-8 tops to share your adventures with. The more vehicles that are involved can be a logistical nightmare. The club meet ups are good, but leave the club organized events to the club. I‘m not sure if you are a new member or an old one. But either way that is now way for another member to act, especially to someone new. Sorry that this guy acted like a jackass. Nothing you put out there sounds unreasonable.

I'm actually admin. They guy that built the fb group and I got our Broncos in January, we were in the same build week. This guy joined 1 month ago. I've belonged to a local club here for 20 1/2 years. I was president 2 years and so much more. It is a 60 year old club with about 75 families. Maybe 20 to 30 active. I have lead a lot of trails. Some with upwards of 20. These are normally the easier trails. 6 -8 is perfect imo. That's about how many may be coming tomorrow. It's gonna be fun!

I’m glad you Brought it up in here honestly. This kinda stuff happens all over the world no doubt.
Your event / Your Lead / Your set up efforts etc…
I’ve always known people who want to be catered to.
Change the rules to fit their needs.
Don’t let it ruffle your feathers.

Yeah,
I think Darryl was just venting the frustration,
No need to (attempt physical ) enforcement or whatever…
I guess the ole boy wanted her to illegally (promote it).
Obviously there’s already laws in place.
This sounds like a great opportunity for old Frankie !
