Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

I know I'm way late to the party, but after 22 months (lol) I finally had a chance to remove the MIC top yesterday (after installing my lift mechanism last Sunday). I just want to give kudos to FoMoCo for such a well-designed top. I know Ford has received a lot of crap over the MIC, but I have always been impressed with it. My further experience with removal/re-installation yesterday, just reinforced my impressions of the MIC Top. It came off and went back on without a hitch. The alignment pins make the job quite easy, no fussing with bolt alignment as I was expecting.

Well done.

It may look like a UFO but it puts out a ton of light in the cabin. Spent this weekend installing Lumen8 grab handle lights, dome light and cargo area light. Stock Bronco way too dark off the line, and now I have some useful interior lights that tie into the dome light activation button. Two hour install was not too bad.

@ROCCO what dome and cargo lights did you install? Been looking at options and haven’t landed on a solution yet…

Put these door pockets on the front doors.
Easy install and they work great.
($25 well spent)

historical patch collection.jpg
After getting my BN rocker patches from the past 2 years in recently, I came up with an idea with my world travels patch collection that I sewed on to my backcountry backpack as I collected them. Otherwise the old pack and patches just sat up stairs in the closet. From left to right they mostly go in the order of acquiring them.

Had the Zone offroad 2.25 inch lift for the HOSS 3.0 installed, along with the max tire clearance kit and some Lobo rear shock skids. Should be able to fit 37 x 12.5 with no rubbing at full articulation with the clearance kit.

Didn't get any good before pic's, or measure, I am terrible at doing that, lol.

Had the Foutz lower trailing arm skids installed. The front brackets had to be “massaged“ to get the new skids on. If you are planning to do any substantial off roading, I would suggest that you put your armor on first thing if possible. Especially for the lower trailing arms,(front and back) and the rear shock brackets. These take a lot of abuse.

And your transmission crossmember skids or transmission skid. What ever protects the crossmembers.

These posts further emphasize for me the urgency to install underbody skids before roughing it up on the trail, if only to reduce Murphy’s ability to mess with my day…

After our first 700 mile trip to Scottsdale and back, I thought the insect attack was going drive me crazy. But since the gale force rain in NW Arizona yesterday cleared all the insects off I was somewhat pleased, until the road grime issue started. After about 2 car washes, most of the road grime film is gone. Go ahead and call me a "wuss" because I am being one about having a clean Bronco after a trip.
