Is there a known issue with the miles to empty on the 2025 Bronco? I fill up for example and it will say 450 miles to empty. Sometimes it will stay at 450 for several mile. Sometimes it will lower then climb back up to 450. Is there a fix for this?

It can be weird to see it go up (and also alarming to see it drop suddenly if you're in mountains, winds, deep sand, or the like), but the Distance to Empty (DTE) feature does fluctuate. It's evaluating recent driving style and conditions, like speed, acceleration, terrain, etc., and estimating how far you could drive if those conditions stay in place.

Letting up on the accelerator or pressing it more smoothly instead of stabbing it, going down a mountain, tailwinds, that kind of stuff, could have your DTE going back up.

miles to empty estimates use your driving habits as well as the previous 100 miles or so is estimating your mileage.

I have a hybrid Maverick that actually INCREASES in miles to empty if I’m in stop and go traffic or traveling down a mountain pass

Well ya young whipper snappers...in my day we looked at the line on the dash, when it started getting down by, what we called the "BIG E", it was time to pull into the gas station and fill up. If the gauge wasn't work-in you'd put a stick in the tank to get a reading. You could put $2.00 in and drive for a week. Course, in those days they came out, asked what kind of fuel you wanted, regular or ethyl, washed your windshield, checked your oil, and filled your wiper fluid bottle. Course my wiper pump didn't work so they would put water in my old Windex bottle I carried. Good thing I have long arms so I could reach the windshield. My girl friend got made at me when I made her do the passenger side...something about getting the bugs out of her teeth. I told her just keep your mouth closed for once...I'll bet you can guess that went over like a fart in church. What really pissed us off is when gas went up to 15¢ a gal. I guess that would be like $4 something a gal. now. :0)

I remember “most” of that, though I never carried a Windex bottle….

LOL - Our most effective windshield solution was a double handfull of roadside snow slush!

Yeah, over the years them gasoline prices have moved around a lot, Here's a very bumpy 30yr line graph, high's in 2022:

Adjusted for inflation in what economists call 'real dollars' very different:
