Very good unbiased comparison of the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco. I'm sure this video touched a few nerves on both sides.

And I'm sorry I'm going to speak my mind as well. For the price of the Bronco Ford needs to really take a look at many things. Shoddy workmanship, insufficient and weak parts and obvious shortcomings should not be acceptable. Tie rods that barely stand up to off-roading in a vehicle pushed as a true off-roader. No rear vents?? I bet even base model Kia's come with rear ventilation that actually does something. Mismatched seats. Misaligned body panels. The soft and hard tops. I could go on. Is this acceptable for a vehicle that can push $60k??

And it amazes me how many people are accepting of all of these things because they are so enamored with the Bronco.

I really want to love the Bronco. At this point I just can't. And waiting for as long as I have for it's return, it pains me to have to say that. That's why my order will continue to sit in 99 status until they really tighten the reigns and get their act together. I will not put my hard earned money in a vehicle that I don't feel I can rely on, have faith in or enjoy for many years to come. I'm hoping for a change. Sooner than later.

I’ve watched their channel a bit, but I’m not subscribed. They should compare their Ultra4X to their Wrangler?

In my opinion (they are all like buttholes anyways and all stink, as my momma used to say), the Bronco is a better vehicle, both on and off road than the Wrangler, here me out.

The majority of buyers are not buying “top level trims” - so let’s take the Rubicon, Badlands, Wildtrak, and Mojave/Overland trims off the table.

So in comparison we have:
Wrangler Sport vs Base
Wrangler Sport S vs Big Bend
Willys Wheeler vs Black Diamond
Sahara vs Outer Banks

From a stock vs stock standpoint - the Bronco has a M190 which has a higher torque rating in the Dana 44 of the Wrangler.

Engine options? Let’s look at the base engines, the 3.6 Pentastar V6, vs the 2.3 Ecoboost:
In Horsepower the Wrangler 285hp wins against the Bronco’s 275hp
But the Torque of the Wrangler at 260 fails against the Broncos 315.
And Torque is what’s going to move those wheels up and over the rock more than raw horsepower.

Engine reliability and design - personal experience. I had a 3.6 Pentastar Wrangler with 280,000 miles - which means I could have driver around the earth over 11 times. The 3.6 Pentastar began having issues at 100,000 miles, timing chain tensioner, camshaft phasers, oil pressure problems, wiring issues, camshaft crankshaft positioning sensors, oil cooler issues (replaced 3), clock spring, computer issues, hard top and soft top leak. I kept the carpet out of the Jeep for the entire rainy season here in Florida.

Now take the 2.3 Ecoboost - I have not had this vehicle long, but I had a 2.3 in a Fox Body mustang, and whole engine designs have changed, the reliability of that motor has giving me high hopes for this one.

So in personal experience the 2.3 is going to be more reliable.

Next, let’s talk about balls. Sorry gals, I know it’s a little personal but the Bronco has a lot more leg room in it. A lot more side to side, hip to hip, knee to knee room, and it fits me better. I have “more ball space” than I did in the JK or the JL. AND, at 6’1” 245lbs I can fit in the backseat of the Bronco, I could not fit in the Wrangler.

Cargo Capacity, the Bronco feels bigger as well.

Now if you go back and look at the trims vs trims - and are seriously considering buying a Sahara, the Outerbanks has a bit more.
Willys Wheeler? The Black Diamond has steel bumpers and skid plates. Even the Big Bend has more than the Sport S.
Base vs Sport - even more options.

LiteBrite, they do a different style of driving, and are talking to a different type of audience when they are stating their opinion. For the Everyman, everywoman the Bronco and Wrangler will get you to the same spots, the Bronco will do it with more on road manners, comfort, and convenience.

But hey, I don’t mind if Sam the Soccer
dad sees their video, and cancels his Bronco order and buys a Wrangler cause LiteBrite couldn’t bang rocks like they could in a vehicle that has decades of aftermarket R&D can.

I don’t mind it at all. I got a Bronco, it’s way better than my Wrangler was, and more comfortable than the Rubicon I was going to buy.

I’m heading to my office here shortly, 17 miles away on some country roads, 1 stop sign, and 2 red lights after I get into town. I’ve counted the Wranglers, when I had mine. One day I passed 18, and no, it wasn’t 18 in a row as they were going to a place, I passed 18 in the general span of traffic, not including the one I was driving.

I’m happy with what I bought, and I don’t fault LiteBrite, they have an audience, and cater to them with the things they do. Things most Wrangler and Bronco owners never will do!

But….. keep an eye out, watch the tide shift at these rally’s and races, Ford is just getting started.
I 100% agree My Badlands SAS can go anywhere a stock rubicon can go there wrangler is completely modified with aftermarket parts so it's ridiculous to compare the 2

I guess my thoughts go quickly to the "death wobble" comment. Why would that ever be OK? Thats my issue with Wrangler, and I DO expect Ford to be better.
The death wobble part is not a normal condition. It is the result of worn parts. Its up to you to maintain your vehicle
I've been driving a CJ for decades, worn ball joints should be replaced like on any other car.

Never heard of their channel.

For me, my favorite Youtube auto reviews are:

Jason Cammisa on Haggerty
Throttle House
Straight Pipes
TFL

To lesser extent,

Raiti's Ride - He really goes into depth, mainly watch his videos on un-reveals.

Regarding the Bronco issues, they are the sum of growing pains in a limited supply driven by the pandemic. I'd still choose the Bronco every time.

Yeah people seem to get all bunched up about that, not sure why. Subaru Outback is a super capable vehicle.
I have been constantly surprised by how well the subies do off road. I have had my Father in law's 2008ish Forrester in all kinds of places I didn't think it belonged, but it did fine. Some of them would have made my old CJ sweat a little. I think when he finally gives up driving (which based on the last time I took a ride with him should be any day now) Im gonna grab up that car from him, lift it a bit, put something other that street tires on it and see what she will really do.

That said, I agree the better comparison is probably the 4Runner. The IFS alone does this, and I think the Bronco more than favorably compares to the current gen 4 Runner. Based on my limited off-rodeo experience with the bronco, I would feel confident doing most everything off road, but it is never going to crawl as well as a straight front axle. But since thats not how I (or most folks who are buying one) is going to use it, I will be alright. Im setting up for desert running, and the Bronco should excel with that.

The Subies do great off road. Softroadingthewest.com used to take his Subie (before someone ran a red light and totaled it) everywhere most would ever want to go. In fact, the entry-level Subie, the Crosstrek, has more ground clearance than an entry-level Bronco (Base). You can be over 9" of ground clearance just with a slightly taller tire, without a lift, or with a small lift you can be closer to 10" of ground clearance. Kind of nice you can have that in an entry-level vehicle that'll get you just about anywhere at 33 mpg.

The Wrangler is heavily modified now and they mention several times that they are comparing the Bronco to when the Wrangler was stock , or near stock condition also . Their Bronco will end up heavily modified given time so let's enjoy what they do with it in the future . I think it was a fair comparison as I was watching their channel when they were wheeling the stock wrangler so I understand what they are saying . Being mine will be a daily driver I was more bummed about all the plastic panels rattling around so much .

Now if they would just combine the off road channel with the Fans Only , that would be a treat :}

I knew Litebrite wasn't in it for the long haul when they bought the bronco. You could just tell. Their channel is also kinda lame. They did hit a witches eye or big rock boulder at speed in their bronco and continued to drive fine. Hopefully they gave bronco points for that. They also got a Ferrari 458 recently which I imagine cut into their bronco payment budget. But the wife has an Onlyfans--and nothing wrong with that. You do you. Merica. If anyone interested haha her link is below.

Agreed... they drove to Indiana to get it, then drove it through a freaking tornado basically (it was blowing semis over) because 'they were in a hurry' and complained about the soft top. Then they took it out and broke a tie rod doing something one would argue it was not set up for. I find their whole channel to be freaking annoying, and NOW it makes sense that it's a setup for their OnlyFans. That chick gets on my dang nerves, so I could care less to see more of her.

8 months later, and only a couple of problems. Two of the windows on the soft top have come apart. And the passenger side window won't always auto roll all the way back up.

The one that I cant stand though are the TC Customs videos. Those just rub me the wrong way. I shouldn't have to know how tall Mitchell Watts is, but I do because he finds a way to mention it in every video.

That's funny... but true. Mitchell is SELLING in every video. He presents it as informational, but inevitably he's SELLING. He kinda lost me when he started trying to talk people out of the 'squatch package because you could lift it on your own, blah blah blah. It's NOT the same. Now he's segueing into pitching the Lightning. Salesmen will be salesmen.

Opinions & facts are great for true research oriented people. Take note of the FACTS. and process the opinions.
Small example…

In accurate information.
At the 22 min point.
Side mirrors “fold in” approximately 2” inside the width of the fender flairs.
You are (not guaranteed) to trash your side mirrors.
I understand the misuse of terms like
“literally & totally trashed” have become the new norm for grabbing attention and I guess it seems fine and normal now to throw out disinformation.

I am however totally in agreement with the

electronic Vs manual
Engagement of the drivetrain system however,
Then again “that part is opinion/ preference “.

this is as a general rule ,
