They put me on Double-Secret Suspension for a month.

Here's a long video of a Bronco doing a Colorado trail with a GMC EV Hummer. The Hummer could not compete, and needed the Bronco for recovery several times. I expect the Lexus GX-550 to do better, but not by much.
My expectation is that the GX-550, being a new iteration of the Toyota Land Cruiser (a very heavy, big V-8 luxury soccer-mom SUV) will wind up as a 1) status mall crawler, 2) a reasonably good trailer and boat hauler, and 3) an adequate dirt-road (not off-road) cruiser, enough so that its owners can chat about their "off-road & roughing it" trip as they swish their chardonnay.

Just the POS city Boston is all that needs to be said.

At the $80K price point, the Braptor is way effing cooler than some boring mall-crawling Lexus Luxo'Ute.

IMO of course πŸ˜‚

There is 1 problem with that statement. Unless you ordered a raptor in 2022 in march when the order banks opened, You can't touch one for $ 80,000.00. $ 97,000.00 MSRP Fully loaded on fords website or you can try online for $ 95,000 to $ 120,000.00. And at that price point, the build quality does not justify the price.

What do you constitute as fully loaded. Mine came in at 86K with Lux and Leather Seats. Evertything else is pretty much cosmetic.

With all respect sir, who/what is the POS here? Me? Boston? The Lexus GX-550?

A couple of years ago, I was at Enterprise Rental and offered an upgrade of anything on the lot. Fun! I chose an Infinity XQ-80, which is the upscale twin to the Nissan Armada. It was a fun drive for a day, but I found it heavy and cumbersome. Since the GX-550 is twin (correct me if I'm wrong?) to the Toyota LandCruiser, I expect my driving experience to be similar: Big, powerful, and expensive to buy, maintain, and operate, and cumbersome, but prestigious and luxurious enough to attract certain buyers and admirers.

Somebody, please take the GX-550 out on a serious trail (not some backroad) with a Sasquatch and give us a real comparison!

Well, based on that logic neither are available at this point.

But still the Braptor is way effing cooler than a 2024 GX regardless of nit picking pricing details. The point that the Braptor is hard to find and ADM'd out the ass, just strengthens my statement. Way... effing... cooler. πŸ˜‰
