I want to improve interior lighting inside my 4 door. I'm wondering what others have tried, done, or fir helpful tips. If I'm going to add lights I'm hoping I can use existing wiring from the factory lights.

Thank you.

I can’t stress enough what a pain in the ass hooking the T tap and wire was before I had a hands free light. Use extra care when cutting the wire bundle wrap off. Small, careful cuts with the razor blade. And there is another grey wire with a brownish stripe which is easy to get to, but also easy to think it might be the right one. The grey with purple one is in the middle. Once I got the light it was easy to identify. Unless you have someone to hold a flashlight or phone for you, they just won’t work. I used a Dewalt but any of the ones that come in a cordless tool kit will work. Other than that it was smooth sailing.

I just ordered Mabett’s new dome light. Supposedly, very easy install. Check it out. https://a.co/d/aQok1n2

The IAG’s look great, but I chose the new dome light from Mabett. It just replaces the factory’s poor excuse for a dome light. When I looked inside a 4 dr OBX with a black and blue leather interior, it was wicked dark. The Mabett seems to light up the second row and cargo area well. I’ll post pix when I take delivery at the end of the month. Meanwhile, here’s the link. https://a.co/d/aQok1n2

Was finally able to order my kit today. Can't wait to finally have the interior lighting that my bronco shouldve had from factory.

This does look like a simpler option. Hey Mabett, are you going to make one compatible with the 2-door?

Amazon is showing as unavailable, with no idea when it might be back in stock… :(

I went on Amazon and bought LED boat lights, I think a set of 4 were about $15, plus about 10 feet of wire (10 gauge maybe?) and hooked it up to aux 6, easy and cheap.PXL_20230222_224335984.jpg

I added the hard top rear cargo light from Wild Horses (part # 6G-6225). Instead of using the socket plug (shown), I have hardwired to my axillary switch 6. It provides a lot of light in the rear area. Great if you are tailgating or camping and want light at night in the cargo area.

I went with the low brow hack for lighting the back of mine. Bought battery powered, motion sensitive under cabinet led light strip. Comes with double sided tape and magnetic strip so it can be easily attached to rear crossbeam. Walmart Link below shows the light bar though you can get it on Amazon for~$20. It’s pretty low profile so you won’t see it blocking your rear view. Has on/off/auto switch and hopefully the auto won’t trigger too easily (haven’t driven with it installed yet). Stays on for 20 seconds in auto mode. Recharges with usb cable.

Very simple. Comes with adhesive backing strips, so easy to place.

Finally got off my lazy butt and did the additional wire to aux switch #5. Super easy and is a nice option to turn on the dome lights while driving. I find the IAG Dome lights are the best addition I have made to the Bronco.

I found the Mabett 4 pc light to be an easier install than the IAG based on the install video. Plug and play. Waiting to get mine.
