If you could rewind time and re-configure / re-buy your Bronco what would you change, if anything?

Title.

What would you change on your Bronco configuration if you had to do it all over again? Would be sweet if you could add options individually as opposed to packages that have things you might not want but that is what it is..

Me? I'd still stick with my non Sas Badlands 2DR.

  • 12" Screen (I did upgrade mine from 8" to 12")
  • Maybe the 2.7L for one pedal mode
  • Front trail camera

That's about it. The 2.7 upgrade for me would still be iffy as that's a lot to pay for a minor feature but I'd certainly give it more consideration.

I think I would have gotten the Bronco in red as an homage to my father-in-law's Bronco from back in the day. My wife would have loved that and the red looks fantastic with the white top. But I don't regret the Cactus Grey. The only other things I would want are things that aren't offered:

Power seats (at least the driver's) on the two-door.
Cooled seats? I've never had them, but I suspect they would be nice.

Or...if the Heritage was available with the Lux package, and especially if it could have been ordered in MGV, I would go that route (but my VIN came before the Heritage was available to order).

hmm. I didn't order mine & bought used, but if I were ordering from scratch, I'd consider a Badlands, though I like my Wildtrak, because a SAS Badlands is the only way I know of to get all the hero buttons.
Non-Sas* Badlands also comes with the sway bar disconnect (the button that is missing on all other models).

*There's no factory SAS Badlands, and as far as I know, no one has done a SAS after-market, either. ๐Ÿ˜†

Um. You can 100% get a Sasquatch package as an option on the Badlands trim level.
I think Sas package is the only way to get the front locking diff isn't it?

All Badlands, sas or not, come with front and rear lockers and sway disconnect.

Ok. I was just double checking myself on the build & price from Ford & I didn't see the front locker listed as standard on Badlands, but it was listed as part of the Sas package.

Sas = Sasquatch
SAS = Solid Axle Swap
You referenced mentioned "SAS Badlands," which does not exist as an OEM offering, and as far as I know, not in the after-market, either. ๐Ÿ˜€

The 2.7 engine (BUT to be honest I've never driven the 2.3 in a Bronco) to me is a MAJOR feature and worth the dough.
Like many I started off back in 2020, in my mind, wanting a manual transmission. But when I found out I could not get the SAS with it, I grudgingly chose the 2.7/auto combo.
SO GLAD. The torque and off road drivability with that combo is just amazing. So confidence inspiring and capable.
I hear people with the 2.3 engine use words like " adequate, punchy, peppy" to describe it. I describe the 2.7 as "fast, amazing, super torque" especially with 4.7 gearing.
Car and Driver Magazine recently did a 40k mike write up of their 2.3 SAS 4 door and the first thing they did was have the factory tune installed to add more power. The second thing they did was blow up the clutch. Hmmm.
I drove my daughter 2022 2.3 Ranger auto and I thought it was very peppy. :)
The 2 door with 2.7 is just fast IMO.

I off-road every few weeks and have never had an issue, on road of off, with the 2.3L. The only reason I'd even consider the 2.7L is for one pedal mode. The 2.7L upgrade is a lot to pay for that one feature though. I am okay, not great, at two-footed off-road driving and it does the trick..

I have driven a 2.3, and I couldnโ€™t agree with you more. Did the FPT on my 2.7 mostly for the pedal response. Midrange is all you need hereโ€ฆ

My 2.3/Auto has been outstanding in all aspects on and off road. I did install a throttle controller to have a better feel with the skinny pedal and that is it. Don't need any more for what I'm doing!

Yup.. Not once have I thought 'I need more power' when crusin' down the road or when 4 wheelin' with the 2.3. I also have a lift and 35x11.5R17's on mine..

Lol- canโ€™t figure out why my pics always end up upside down when I copy from my library ๐Ÿ™„. Anywayโ€ฆ. LOVE everything as ordered- OuterBanks fully loaded. Only thing I would have liked is bigger tires but with the Sas pkg it wouldnโ€™t fit in the garage
A blue Bronco that can fly upside down! Just needs some yellow Blue Angels graphics.

That's certainly an intriguing hypothetical. ๐Ÿค”
One one hand I would have gotten the factory aux switches and hitch as the post factory addition of Both are far more involved then I had figured, though I don't need the factory aux and may never use a hitch. And ALL the hero buttons though I haven't had a need for them. Plus metal bumpers

On the other hand I did get all my deal breakers: 2 door/hatdtop/Lux/color and have switched to the factory metal capable bumper which is my favorite looks wise and have an avenue to switch to the factory rear metal bumper.
And most importantly got mine fairly early on and was able to start adventuring and making memories. Knowing what I know now I wouldn't rethink it and miss out on the adventures I had.

2022, 2 door, Base, 2.3, 7 speed, non SAS
Roof rack and heated seats
Roof rack first, I would have never ordered a roof rack. The 2 cross bars are set in stone. Unable to slide either bar. Not can you add a 3rd bar without modifying the rack. Small but annoying.
Heated seats
Why do I have to have the high package to get heated seats? We're talking about a vehicle designed to be driven with the roof off and/or doors off. So I pose the question again is there any reason other than greed to force someone to buy a bunch of extra electronics to get what would be considered a base creature comfort in a vehicle like this? I know personally heated seats would make a huge difference in how long I could run with doors and roof off here in Virginia.
I'm getting ready to order a Badlands (for the 4.7 gears) 2 door, 2.3, 7 speed, non SAS, NO ROOF RACK The biggest change is I'm searching for information about factory, after market, and/or a wrecked Bronco to get heated seats. I will have them stand alone without all the extra BS.

In hindsight, and with two-scoops of frosted sugar patience, I would have waited for the Bronco Raptor R, 750 horspower V8, Hoss 5.0, D-LUX AI package, Cyberdine Connected, Liquid Cooled Gel Seating....oh! Shit! Sorry, I'm from the Future and probably shouldn't have mentioned that to this forum. My bad!! Nevermind.... Well you have that to look forward to unless some butterfly shits on the neck of a Ford engineer and screws it all up...For me? I probably would have just saved a few more aluminum cans and donated some more blood, to get the cash to hold out for a fat, juicey Raptor. I do love my 23WT though, and brought that date to the dance. We are connected and it would be hard to part with it or want for anything different.

This was an issue a while back but I thought they fixed it. Just crop the photo, even if only 1mm, then upload it and it should not flip after that.

Or try inserting the photo into the post..

Yay! Problem solved, thx โ˜บ๏ธ
