As you said on the other thread, I'm gonna see if I am previewed at all tomorrow (rep is off today) and decide from there but really thinking for the $2500 the factory setup is definitely worth the extra wait

Just read that Ford is honoring the price protection but it will be handled slightly different by the dealer.

Any idea if this will be available through dealership parts dept?

I'd guess that will be way off since this is a kit with bumper/plates/FOX/steering/etc

Similar to the track pack that you could get for the GT500. That was available through the parts dept. Wasn't cheap, though.

Well, not my issue as a customer! LOL Just like the roofing industry and insurance companies not wanting to pay current market value but once the customer gets upset they like keeping customers. Got a call, literally yesterday offering me to take down or revise my 1-star post from my eye surgery in Jan 2021 for the next surgical step in my process. About $3500 value to me, customers and reviews are big money to businesses. FMC or the Dealer will get the price protection figured out I bet

$2500 factory installed I think is a steal of a deal. Just like the SAS package is a great price too

Ok if there was one downside to having a VIN already it is missing out on a few new options from the factory. :oops: But if I think realistically I am in the right build. None of these (Everglades, Raptor, HOSS, whatever is next, etc.) existed when I was excited the first time around and none of these are critical to my planned usage. Heck my loaded WT is probably overkill but oh what fun when it's finally in the driveway and on the dirt. Good luck to all. I can't wait to share these stories in person on the trail someday!

It is just me or does this seem like a great value?. To bad they don’t have it or the badlands.

I would like to add the upgraded steering rack/tie rod system to my badlands non-sas (lifted on 37s). Will this be possible? Been waiting on this critical Ford Performance upgrade since September '21.

The catch is almost everything with the WT is a constraint SAS, 4.7, 2.7, and what else? My thinking is maybe this will speed up a WT outside the gearing constraints, but then again its FMC so who knows

Yeah it's a REALLY good value. Based on what little information we have seems to be tuned for high-speed off-road desert running. Baja 1000 sorta stuff... which is basically the purpose of the Wildtrak trim based off of Ford's marketing. Badlands is more of a low-speed rock crawling trim, so I can see why they didn't put this this suspension on Badlands (would still be a nice option though).

And honestly... Wildtrak really needed something to differentiate itself from other Sasquatch builds. A Base Sasquatch being just as capable as the Wildtrak just felt.... I dunno... almost wrong?

Agreed. And if mine weren't built on 2/19, and I didn't have a VIN yet, I would certainly 99 it and wait until 3/8.

But mine should arrive this week, and I'd like to find out what it would cost to have this added to mine, after the fact.

Yeah, it seems like it's a perfect fit for the Wildtrak since it has been described as a desert runner.
Maybe the development of the shock coincided with the Raptor suspension development.
