update finally got buyback price from Ford not sure how long the next step will be. Glad to see some action events moving forward.

I’ve had the Bronco in to repair airbag issue twice the second time was almost all of March! Dealer didn’t have a loaner. I was told Ford picks up rental car for warranty work. I just got a bill from the rental company for $1330 for months later! They didn’t even fix the problem! Fix it or buy it back Ford!
I’ve had an intermittent airbag warning light that started in November. Ford pass app states safe to drive WITHOUT A PASSENGER! Didn’t become consistent enough till January to take to the dealer. I’ve also had very intermittent pre-collision/ adaptive cruise control unavailable while driving and be off for 11 minutes and then come back on without changing anything. Also had connectivity issues in the beginning. The dealer tried fixing airbag issue with no luck, (can’t believe they didn’t try changing the main computer) told me to contact Ford about a buyback. Ford would not do the buyback, and would not give a reason. Not sure if it was because minor fender bender and put on a new aftermarket winch bumper. Ford told me to contact the Better Business Bureau which I did April. Ford said they agreed to buy back the vehicle, but never gave me a buyback price. Sometimes I can start the vehicle airbag light will be on turn the vehicle off then back on and airbag light will be off??? Other times that doesn’t work? Not sure what I’m gonna do now. I’ve had a 1984 Ford bronco, I had a 2000 F150 for 23 years 250k+ miles, this 2023 Bronco. Not impressed with how Ford has done nothing to help with this problem. Not sure I’d ever buy a Ford again.

Can’t say I’m surprised. I’ve had terrible experiences with ford service. Ford dealers are independently owned. If there’s another close by , some like to stick it to their competitors. Some/most don’t give a shit about you or problem. It’s amazing how fast things happen when a lawyer is involved. Good luck.

Yeah, think you're right about computer, but like most new vehicles there are some 400 modules in these Broncos. We were having intermittent SYNC4 issues and our dealership service did a 'software update'. This sounds pretty simple, but that task took 7.5 hours of tech time, so it's a pretty big warranty job. We've had our Bronco back for 10 days without any more issues.

Gotta suggest that you try a different dealership's service. We've seen a wide range of service quality here. I drive another 30 miles to the dealer we've had the best service results. It's well worth it too!

What was the minor fender bender? Was it related to your front end? I am also curious regarding your new front bumper installation. Did you check with your dealership service person as to any warranty issues before installing? I am looking at a potential front bumper replacement and I am curious

When you say they offered a buy back, this is under lemon law?

Did you buy it from the dealer you took it to?
The dealers here will not give you a loaner unless you bought the car from them.

Issues till months after accident and repair. Not the same dealer that I bought it from dealt with the Better Business Bureau or agreed to buy it back, but never did give me a price.

So I am curious regarding your issues. Did you have the new bumper and winch put on at the time of repair or sometime after? Did the issues start at the time of repair or at the time the new bumper and winch were put on? The reason I ask is that the sensor locations on the new bumper are now really close together. I wonder if the relocation of the sensors could be throwing it out of whack? Also wondering if, the repair shop caused an issue with or failed to replace the air bag sensor?

I see the ACCM relocation bracket. Did you reconfigure it and run the winch installation with FDRS?

Repairs were done a month after accident by Ford dealership. No bumper added after market at that time. The problems didn’t start for four months after that.

I’ve had several new cars before my Bronco. I have learned that if they can they will avoid doing warranty work unless you’re a valued customer. My dealer has worked with ford engineers to figure out issues with my Bronco. I was one of the first to have reported the rear camera staying on. My dealer swapped the module and it went away. After that they made the recall for module reprogramming. So it depends on the dealer if they want to help you.
BTW some dealers can black list your vehicle for modifications so make sure that you trust your dealer your working with. I take my vehicles to original dealer’s I purchased from. They treat you better because they want to keep you as a customer
