Anybody here have the technical specs such as weight and overall length when rolled up ? I'm wondering if it can be easily attached to the molle panel of my tailgate table or is it too heavy, long etc.

And the notable stuff that are missing that came to my mind:

  • Torx Plus 45 — Used in a few spots, like the trim rings on the wheels. EDIT: The trim rings are actually Torx 45, not Torx Plus 45. However TP-45 is still used in other spots on the Bronco, like the tailgate hinges.
  • 27mm Socket — Also used in a handful of spots, most notably the oil filter housing on the 2.7L EcoBoost. (You may be able to use the crescent wrench for this.)
  • 35mm Socket — Used on the hub bolts
  • Boot Clamp Pliers — For all of the various dust boots around the Bronco (like the tie rods)
  • Spare Fuses
  • Basic electrical test equipment
  • Stretch belt remover/installer tool — For the accessory drive belts

After I get my Raptor, I should have enough points to get it for free or heavily discounted. Maybe get both this one and the KOH one.

I keep extra fuses in all my vehicles anyway. Regarding the oil filter I have an oil filter wrench I'm my shop and I view oil changes as a preventative maintenance item not a spur of the moment off road/roadside need. Have people been damaging these filters off roading?

Nah, you’re right, you likely won’t be dealing with your oil filter while off-roaring.

But if we’re being honest you probably won’t spur-of-the-moment be checking your spark plug gaps either… and yet this kit has the tools for that. I’m more just pointing out that this kit is advertised as “everything you’d need to work on your Bronco”, and yet it’s missing tools/supplies that the DIY user would want—in both emergency and non-emergency situations.

It’s a good starting point for sure, but definitely not complete.

Says Torx keysets and "has everything Bronco owners need"
It does say that but doesn’t say TorxPlus…. A significant difference

Would love to be able to buy the roll and put my own tools in it…

In my experience with an 84 piece kit there may be 20 tools I will use ever, and $350 for no name tools is perhaps not a great bargain…

Ford pass points, though…

Carhardt makes a nice tool tool that is pretty cheap.

Well stated and I absolutely get your point. And yes the spark plug gap tool is mostly laughable for out and about fixes (unless it has a Bronco on it, lol) but many tool kits have them because they are small, very cheap and add to count of tools they can tout.

You are 100% correct. Though I am hopeful Ford stating "Has everything a Bronco owner needs" takes that into account, but just an assumption.

And that style plug gap tool is not that precise. A wire gage gaping tool is better for gapping plugs. Something you do every 60,000 to 100,000 miles on a Bronco... 🤣🤣🤣

I plunked down the points for this last Friday and almost immediately got the "2 weeks" backlog email. With points, I paid like $11 and it's worth it to not have to drag everything out of my big tool box for every wheeling adventure. I always bring my Torx45 and a battery impact wrench and a couple batteries so that won't change...but next time I'm in 2 feet of muddy water, I'm checking that spark plug gap and sending the pic to Ford...someone somewhere fought to get that added to the kit and I will validate that person's choice!! Red Dog tools makes a similar roll, it's almost twice as much so 😆

Okay, ordered mine. I'm all ready for the next KOH!

Redeemed my 20,000 ford points plus used the discount code. A total of $152 off the $349 price. Not a bad deal IMO. I can transfer it from car to car as needed.
I had $171 in points and found the March discount code (shop324).
20% off!!!
Ordered shipped to door for $128 and change… I’m good with that

Ford points are on FordPass app… earned for buying vehicle, getting service (at Ford), etc…

If you Google “Ford discount codes” you will get to a site that tracks codes… I believe currently there are two different codes I’m aware of…
