OK...Can't get fog lights in the steel Modular bumper. I have a BL 4 dr., 33" tires, bead lock wheels, no Sasquatch on order. Does anyone know if the wiring and the light switch are fog light compatible? If you buy a set of fog lights will they plug and play. If the wiring is not there then I will change the order to the standard bumper to get the lights and wiring and worry about the bumper later. If there are other option can you let me know.

Thanks,
Dave

The majority of the wiring for the fog lights is there with the modular bumper, but the fog light switch is not there.

You can either buy the correct switch assembly that comes with the fog light button... or... as you said, just order the standard bumper and worry about a bumper later. Personally, I went with latter option, as I'm not particular crazy about the modular bumper.

Edit: this is for 2021. I assume 2022 would be the same... but... never know I guess.

Here's a thread dealing with the fog light issue. Yes you can buy the proper switch and the wiring is there but you need to activate the fog light switch in Forscan so it works.

So it appears the bottom line is you would have to wire the fogs to a different switch or replace the OEM switch and hope the wring is there. Then you would need the ForScan to make them work properly. I watched a video on an OuterBanks where they made the fogs stay on with the high beam using a ForScan. I think I will go to the lower end bumper and get the fogs. My wife will be driving this truck and I don't want to have her worry about this switch and that switch. Thanks a lot for all the information.

The wiring has been confirmed they're there and the factory switch is not that expensive.
Do you want to fog lights or driving lights? You do not want the fog lights on when your brights lights are on. That's the nice thing about the factory switch. You can turn on your fogs and they will go off automatically when you turn on your brights.
If you want driving lights, I would put them on another switch and would not put them on the factory fog light switch.

The wiring is not necessarily there. It is not on my black diamond. I think it may only be there on orders that have the front sensors in the package.

If you say so. I’d rather get a hard one. Again, with the double entendres!

I saw the Bestop soft top on a 2 door Bronco on a couple of YouTube videos. Mitchell from Town & Country Ford in Alabama had a walk around and it looked pretty sharp. I like how it follows the angle of the roll cage. If I got one, that'd be at the top of my list (for now).

If you are ordering a Badlands, you have the hero switches. The wiring is super easy and available under the hood. I used switch 2 for my fogs, as switch 1 is a higher amperage circuit (20 I think) and the fogs were way under that. I went with Diode Dynamics SAE in Amber and couldn't be happier with the function. I will still likely make a different mount that recesses them just a bit. Way easier than messing with the factory switch and Forscan, although the auto switching with your high beams may be something you want (I did not).

Beautiful. Think its be overkill to do the full slotted fogs on one switch?

Mattwings...I assume the hero switches are the ones on the headliner? Also are these wired to the ignition so they all shutdown when the truck is turned off? Also do the leads to these wires terminate in the box you showed in your picture? Thanks for the feedback. Dave
