Hey all,

One of the options I wanted when I ordered my base Squatch in 21 was the rubber floors with drain plugs ( plus the Area 51 color which was not offered in Base). Still tremendously pleased with what I received, especially since the same damn truck would be 65 thousand ordered today; I was wondering...

Being how all Bronco two-door floor dimensions are identical, does anyone know the part number for the rubber floor liner (rubber or plastic)?

Also, I assume all bodies are stamped with the plugs, correct?

Last question: are the plugs attached to the flooring (those with the rubber floors)? Or are they disconnected and separate pop-on things that can be lost?

All and any help with part numbers, prices, and use pros and cons will be appreciated.

Sorry @Porkchop4464 - can’t help with part numbers but, I can confirm that the plugs for the washout floors do have an attached tether so they remain in the vehicle when removed - they twist 1/4 turn to allow access to the drain hole.

I am sure your dealer can help with part #s and details for ya.

All the best brother!

love the rubber floor although I have yet to have a need for the drain plugs. I thought it would feel cheap not having carpet but I don’t even notice there is no carpet. With the Weathertech floor liners mine came with there would be very little carpet to see anyway. Good luck with your update.
BN 1100, Desert Sand Everglades. Reservation 7/30/20. ordered 1/22/21, reordered 10/15/21 dropped tow and hard top, reordered 3/9/22 changed to Everglades. production date 9/7/22 rescheduled 9/14/22 completed 9/26/22, shipped 10/7/22, arrived 10/31/22, delivered 11/03/22

Jacob,

It is so funny, my truck has never been wheeled and I am proud to say it. People get abused on here with terms like Mall Crawler and Lot King ( okay, I just made that one up trying to remember the other one), but I can't tell you how many times I have crawled under mine at night with a six-pack and waxed the frame rails. I have even Never-dulled the transfer case. It is far from what I intended (keeping it as close to what rolled off teh showroom floor) but I am trying.

What I am getting at is, I agree, I would NEVER need to hose mine out and pull the plugs, but teh ease of Armor-alling the floor seems so damn nice.

Question, does it shine up nice or is it always kinda dirty plastic looking like the factory Ford rubber floor mats? No matter what I do with this truck, it never or rarely has that fresh sharp new look when it comes to the factory floor mats

I would just wait till armorlite makes one for the bronco. It will probably be better and looks like it will be released early next year.

@Porkchop4464 the rubber floor is just like the rubber mats. The best cleaner that I have found for this and the plastic fender flares is LA’s Totally Awesome All Purpose Cleaner - it will change your life!

Yeah it is hard to keep them looking bright with just vacuuming and washing. We use the chemical guys natural shine. Just me but Armorall will not come within 50’ of any of my vehicles.

Pork, here's the diagram of active and passive plugs, as well as the tether @Jakob1972 mentioned. Also, more pictures of the drain plugs from above and below.

Hey man I’m with you. The rubber flooring in my Black Diamond is awesome. I also have the Ford rubber mats that fit snugly. Don’t understand why anyone would want carpet in any vehicle let alone a Bronco. They don’t even put carpet in houses anymore.
I empathize with you and hope ya can find a fix for your truck.

Thank you, Laura! That gets me a lot closer to what I was looking for and trying to figure out. It makes total sense that the floor plugs would be in all versions as Ford may not know which body pans were going where and when. So... If I can get a hold of the actual "rubber carpet" then I assume all should work out.

Jacob, thanks for the tip!

I am going to share a big secret as well now. No one will probably believe me when I post this, but you have to go out and buy and try it for yourself! Grocery Store, a 6-dollar bottle of Johnson's baby oil! No crap! Just can't be beat the look for pulling all plastics on and in the Bronco back up to "day one" look!

No Sugar, guys N gals! I thought it was complete crap as well, but simple as hell, straight baby oil on a terry cloth into the fender flares and the bumpers ( I have a base), door panels, dash, and center console.

It looks so damn good and it lasts about 4 days if garaged.

I believe it. You should try baby oil on road tar and/or grease, it works wonders. Works on beach tar too. Cleaned a whole 12V Cummins with baby oil. I Went through a gallon of purple cleaner and barely made a dent. Half a bottle of baby oil took care of it.
